how can i tell what my frame rate is?

well,, I see people posting about 30 fps, and 55fps and oh, i drop down to 15 or 10 fps when this happens... etc..

how can i see the fps?

noob question?  hahah,   eat me! :)

open the console (push the ~ key)
con_restricted 0 (hit enter)
r_displayinfo 1 (enter again)
hit ~ again to make the console go away.

or you could have Googled it for yourself and found the same answer very quickly... but I'll let that slide.

Press ~, type r_displayinfo = 1, press enter. Damn, toaster.pastries, you're fast! But yes, that would do the trick. Or just use fraps. ;)

Alternatively if your console doesn't open when you press the ~ key in game you can:

Open Notepad
Type r_displayinfo 1
Save as Autoexec.cfg
in your Crysis main directory, not in the MWLL directory or the game won't start due to file changes.
