I found myself in many situations where my mechs been so badly beat up I was sure to loose, but managed to pull it back from the brink by staying in the mech and putting down consistant accurate fire on their CT. Just happened today vs a nova cat, got away from him with 1% RT and 4% CT, managed to get back to main and repair, killing a BA along the way, with no issues.
Personally I find people eject too often and too early. I only eject when im sure i'm going to kill an enemy mech in my BA, but mainly with the intention of getting back to base alive. Even though i've done alot of dedicated BA work in the past, I dont take any extra BA equipment when I go out in a mech, because I think its cheap to loose a fight in a mech but then win in a BA just because you came geared up to the teeth with equipment. I think alot of people think theyre alot better in BA than they actually are, and most tend to do nothing more than extend the amount of time it takes them to die, whilst shaving off pathetic amounts of armour around the entire mech their up against.
Overall, less ejecting ppl people, it gets tiresome killing ba's over and over and over again.
