it will be ready, when ready it will be. ;)
If devs would have any date to announce they would do this on the main page. ;)
What will be there? Well, I guess we gonna see new game mode (or modes?), some bug fixes, perhaps some new features as well. More or less: this what came with each previous patch ;D hehe ;)

It's all hush-hush at this point but what I can tell is this. They're adding a new Mech called Ass Kicker. Its main feature is a boot attached to its right leg meant for those who ask stupid questions on the forums. If you hit the "B" button you can boot someone's Mech in the ass. got it? good.

That pretty much sums it up and this:

actually made me laugh. How awesome would that be in MWLL :D "Behave or I take out the Ass Kicker!!" - "OH NOES!" .. hehe

i know, i know.

the main reason i asked is because there are some bugs and balance issues i expected a fix for (ASF, long tom, 3d person), and since theres no quick fix in sight i think im going to take a break from MWLL till the next patch (i play almost every day lol). I absolutley love the game, but i got a little bored with this patch as its allways no aero only mechs and tanks and the boogeyman longtom:) not that i really have a problem with it, but i thought i'd check if there are any news/rumours at all on a patch.

im sorry if my question warranted the introduction of the Ass kicker :D

Long Tom is a balance issue/bug? I thought it was sorted out and people finally learn how to counter them. ::)

i agree, but it think we established they were a bit too powerful, even the devs said so if i recall correctly. theyre not so cool right now because when a long tom enters the battlefield, everybody goes passive and focuses mostly on the longtoms until they grow tired of getting pwned and go back to using mechs.

Agreed, LTs have lost much of their terror now that many people know how to deal with them, but I think they are still a little bit too strong.

Especially the fact that they can be used in close range. Everything withhin about 150m should be "safe", more or less.
But this is not the place to discuss that now  ;D

I have been notcing FFA game mode with FFA_Blank as the level in their test server running version 2.1. So this could give us some insight. I have also seen a level called SA_Glacial Extinction. So unless these are ploys used to throw us off lol I think we can look forward to at least such things. Personally I can't wait for ffa mode.

Wonder what the FFA-mode will be like...
Will it be plain and simple deathmatch with no teams or something like a team dm with multiple teams?
I definitely wouldn't mind a 'Solo DM-mode' even though i don't know how on earth could they make that mode play out well. In other words in a sane way gameplay-wise. I can picture games of that sort being dominated by just a few excelling weapons/chassis' or strategies/tactics. Be it any weapon or chassis or playstyle.. Different kinds of maps could help out a bit but i dunno...
Solaris Arena -like gamemodes with multiple teams is just an interesting concept for me... Unless though if it always just dumbs down into team1 vs team2, team3 vs team4 -type of games...

What comes to the terrain control gamemode and possible ToA, I'd like the c-bill system get a fundamental overhaul (not talking about the currency). It just kills the idea of strategical playing for me when you just redeem your reward after respawning after you could have theoretically just rushed the enemy guns blazing and going apes*** before. Having some incentive to not die, to not lose valuable equipment, to minimize friendly teams' expenses and to secure the flow of supplies/resources/c-bills from friendly or captured enemy assets. Or something!??

There is already 3rd Person View in the game. Press F1. But it's glitchy and waaaaay too time consuming for the mods to get working, even for the people who want it. Thus it will NEVER be added to the game. And thus why it's getting removed next patch. (It was added accidently to the current patch)

I too really hope they can stamp out some of the crashing, rare as it might be it's really annoying now.

I'm just hoping, toms where thought about terrian control.  It's one thing if everyone can go passive now when toms come out, but if the toms know were everyone is heading...
