great spam bots.

I almost never use Timmby's cause they so expensive.  Plus their CT is so huge, I get cored pretty quickly.

Huge, yes, but it's so heavily armored, that you can take an Atlas one-on-one and destroy it with your CT still being orange.

Warhammer Prime is way up there for me. Such a well-balanced mech.

Double PPCs with sufficient heat management give it a good punch at range, either to pelt the enemy while advancing or frustrate short-ranged mechs. Get up close, and it can juggle an enemy's aim with a well timed balancing of fire between the two PPCs and its ssrm6, and the medium and small pulse lasers do good supplementary damage while also being excellent for BA removal.

UAC20 Shadowcat, with Hawkmoth B (yes B) a close second.

The Shadowcat A is just the perfect "Slash" mech...  fast and very heavily armed.  I love working around the edges passive and then slashing in on the opposing mech line with MASC.  It's amazing how may heavies and assaults I've rear-torsoed before they even realize they're under attack... not to mention the havoc it wreaks among the missile boaters.  I have a sneaking suspicion it's going to get down-gunned a bit in the patch though...

The Hawkmoth is just a joy to harass lone mechs and Longtoms with.  The autocannon doesn't do a lot of damage, but you can keep a cone of fire raining down, and it gives you some hope against BA and enemy Aeros.  The SSRMs do hit hard and fast and the B puts out considerably more damage over time than the LRM versions.  I do die, alot, but its just so much fun to dance circles around some lone-wolf Catapult, raining autocanon and SRMs down on his head while he vainly tries to tilt back far enough to lock me up...

The Shadowcat A is also overtonned. Then again, so is the Prime (by one ton by CBT rules), but I have to wonder if they count the first on of ammo as being part of the weapon's weight. If so, then I could see the Shadowcat A being nerfed to UAC/20, ERLL in the next patch (which would equal the weight of the Prime), and still be quite a useful mech.

Mad Cat A (when it had the Dual Streak 6s). Twin PPC's, pulse Lasers (x3), and machine guns. I'd like to see the Battletech version of the Mad Cat D in the game. Just like the A variant, only with Er Small Laser, 4 Streak 6s, and twin PPCs.

FEAR THE ADDER

Katapult aka pcc catapult

Slow not heavily armored, but kicks some ass and more when PCC are fix to being the god cannons they should be

Owens B all the way...
I find it so satisfying to whittle away munchkin AC20 Osirises (word?) with SRMs. Its got the right mix of powerfull forget weaponry, good speed (+MASC), good armour and good maneuverability.

Love it and tend to stick with it for much longer than I should (until someone pulls out a Hgauss Holly and one shots me repeatedly)

Only thing that holds it back is ammo. I frequently run out in the long protracted battles that I find my self in.

Osiris B: I just love the AC20 it can be used to rip any light/med to shreds and if you see a heavier mech coming over the hill you can just go passive and run away from there at 160 km/h. When you get the feel for the 20's bullet drop it can also be used as a Howitzer (Infinite range  ;) ). And the best thing of all: It is available from the start. However i fear that my darling will be seriously nerfed in .3  :'(

Cougar C: A jack of all trades that can dish out lots of firepower with its 2x ERLBLs and 2x Lrm 10s. And if you need even more fire you can just bring the rain by tagging the enemy mech with a narc, or just wait until your allies sees the enemy thanks to your C3.

Thanatos A: A heavy gauss on a heavy chassie, paired with DSSRM 6 and an array of medium lasers, that is all you are ever gonna need. Just remember: don't try to use it as a sniper, the Hgauss us awful at range. Fun fact: people always goes for the legs when they are up against this one, however i often kill more mechs while I'm lieing on the ground then when I'm standing up (sens-moral: Don't bail as soon as your mech looses a leg, try to aim at the enemies instead).

The ShadowCat with ERPPC/Clan Gauss is probably my fav even though it really could use ECM.
