Running TS and Vent at the same time.
« on: April 12, 2010, 06:18:25 PM »
Has anyone tried this?  It would benefit me in the sense that you could view your unit's comms and the server comms simultaneously and could coordinate better.  It's a weird thought I know but I'm going to try it out.

Running teamspeak and Vent .. no problem. Works great. The new teamspeak 3 is sapposed to have tabbed servers so you can stay connected in all of them and all ya gotta do is switch between them to talk on different servers

We've found that ts3 can be setup with "whisper channels", which provides all the imaginable benefits of using both TS and Vent.

I believe any program can have multiple instances running on the same PC, in Windows anyway. Create a shortcut, edit the path and add '-multiple' to the end.

Nope. It entirely depends on the program in question.

Works for Civilization 4 :D

Me and a friend were playing online using two instances running on the same PC (Long story, don't ask)

In any case, give it a try :V

That's because Civ4 recognizes the -multiple option ;) You can't assume that every program does.
