considering its still 50 bucks for a game that is more like an expansion pack than a true standalone game, I'd say not much of a shame at all. I'm just waiting for it to come down to like 20 or 30 bucks so I can play it for the short single player in coop.

Reach beta being released today.  Can't wait to give it a shot.

$60.  And you're thinking of ODST.  THAT was an expansion, with it's lousy 5 hour campaign.  Only thing that made up for it was the Firefight mode, and even then that would get stale pretty quick.  Reach, on the other hand, is on a completely reworked engine, and the changes they've shown for the actual gameplay is way more than the leap from even Halo 1 to Halo 3.  I'm not a huge Halo fan, but I do like the games and have found each of them worth the money I spent on them.

ODST was a good deal if you didn't own Halo 3 because you also got H3's multiplayer component, however I can't imagine any halo fan not getting Halo 3 then getting ODST. Anyway, DLing Reach now, cant wait to try it out.

I just spent a goodly chunk of my morning watching vids on this, and, I have to say, it has broken my already crumbling resolve to purchase a 360.  Plus, I'm rather a big Halo fan  ::)  First shooter I ever played (and yes, I am behind the times given my age), and it still remains one of my favourites!  Reach just looks delicious!

Do yourself a retro favour and go play the original Doom games. Quake 2 was brilliant too.

I'm disapointed with Reach. No tact at all. All run-gun-jump-gun-die.

Hate that kind of game.

oh wait..... I hate alo in all. nvm. Back to Mechwarrior 4! (and MWLL)

90% of the people i played with... were dicks.

Lol yeah I it's just another Halo with a slight twist. Most fun I've had on it though is sitting in the gaurd shield until some one gets close waiting for a free kill. Pop out with a shotgun and shout
"IT'S A TRAP!!!"

Totally worth it.

Halo is so very mediocre...

The original was interesting enough, finished the campaign in a day and traded it in for Homeworld 2 (back in the back you could exploit the system) and was far happier with that. Though my brother having NOT completed it, was rather pissed off.
