My Ryoken/Stormcrow model
« on: May 08, 2010, 12:13:21 AM »
Heres some renders I haven't posted at mektek.net. This model isn't complete, still needs some texturing work and a little bit of geometry fixes but its getting there! So any opinions/thoughts?
Thanks! See you guys on the battlefield...

Looks awesome thou I'd like to see it in Side/Front/Top view also, as well as the wire-model and the unwrapping of it :D

Model and Textures look great, the environment... not so much...
The lasers... Ugh, what were you thinking? :o
Would like to see the wireframe too ;)

Btw, General Discussion isn't really the right place for this ::)

LOL yeah I know the lasersdon't really look like lasers at all. That was just a quick mock up I did in Gimp. I couldn't get glow to work right in 3ds max so I just wanted some color coming out of the weapons pods lol. The environment is more of uh, just something for shadows to be casted on lol. I just can't get really excited about that.  I'll see about getting a wire frame up soon. I think the model is about 120k polys last time i checked. Most of that could be trimmed off, I got a little excited with chamfering edges and a lot of small details that don't really show.

Nice modeling. I am really looking forward to seeing the Stormcrow in MWLL. As far as I know, they do not have a model for it yet so it is nice to see one "in the flesh", Nice job!

Actually just for fun, I'm wanting to do a battletech animation similar to the intros for MW3 MCG and MW4. However this model might find its way into MWLL who knows. Heres an update!

DON'T MAKE FUN OF MY LAZORS OR I'LL BE AH FIRIN MY LAZORRR... lol oh and BTW, i do plan on putting in the hands so I can flip people off in my animation. (yeah im going to be the pilot :D)

That's incredibly good looking.  I want in!  The reverse 84 gives away a bit though!

Just to let everyone know, a lower poly version is in the works as I type this :D. Don't worry, It will look even better than those renders when I'm done! This is what I listen to when I model:
