The Model looks very nice... the texture is so detailed...

Oh i forgot some wire frame shots! I'll get some tonight.. I've changed a lot of the geometry so I gotta retexture parts. A lot of smoothing out the curves and edges has been going on, makes it look a lot more realistic. I also added some realistic looking vents and access hatches. So maybe some new renders tonight, depends on if i get my car waxed and some other stuff done for work.

No way, I just got a little too excited with the chamfer tool on all of the edges haha. I've spent a lot of time smoothing things correctly instead of over smoothing them. My model doesnt look as cool as some of the other mechs i've seen with all kinds of little parts and gizmos. But if you look at an abrams battle tank, its really smooth and clean in most places. No parts are exposed or underlying structure. Sure seeing an armor panel piece over a structure of a foot or something looks neat, but doesn't look very battle worthy.

You should go to mektek and look at my early renders from 4 or 5 months ago. The ryoken looked like a  bad joke. But if you just keep messing around, screwing it up, starting over you'll eventually start making real looking things.

+5 for agreeing with me and Cujo's biggest grief about most models...its not practical to put wires, tubes, fans, servo's, coolant, etc outside of armor...first missile salvo that hits will frag it

Yeah you guys might remember that I was workin on the Ryoken, but I've done a real bad job at attending the sunday meetings since I've been working so hard at my job before the Fall semester starts. Anyways, yes its still coming long and I'm still working on the high poly geometry. I'll attach the latest test render :) Oh btw the supply truck is also available for you level designers that want some props. (yeah im definitely changing the textures on it haha nor is it complete geometry wise).

Comments/suggestions are very welcome

awe-sum!
People are stupid if they think they can have their own way.

... that is, unless they have HEAP rounds, high-explosive homing missiles, and terawatt lasers on a walking weapons platform, that is...

Suggestions is rather hard to give without the unwrapped texture, though by looking at the texture as is, the parts on the edge looks rather odd that the parts where the paint should be chipped off is all diffuse and blurred, that part looks odd imo. The front of the lower leg looks stretched ate the sides, not sure if it is since I don't have the UV map to look at.
Also add a few more lights on the top and sides to display the model better, the colors are falling into the shadows. Kind of sad with the work done.

It is good to hear that you are still working on the Stormcrow. A lot of people were wondering where you disappeared to and hoping that that you would be back soon with a shiny new mech in your back pocket. There are a whole bunch of us clanners that cannot wait to get our hands on your creation. Welcome back!

Hello CrazySealPup,

I had sent you an email regarding your models and I would like to speak with you further about them.  Please contact me via my MSN (kingleeruk@hotmail.com) or Seraph when you have availability to do so.  I would like to review the design with you and our modeling/animation team soon, possibly this weekend if you are available.
