Thanks defender :D. If anyone on the mod team wants to take a closer look at using this high poly model  I dont have any problem sharing it. They might even use the low poly iterations I have of the model to make some better HP geometry that will bake better. Totally up to you guys. I'll PM a download link to you.

For a lot of those details, couldn't you set your view flush with the faces (never quite sure what the command is for this, though LOL) and do a 2D scale (or two separate 1D scales) on the top face??

I could do that but when creating those armor panels they were beveled and not extruded, the bevel height/outline was a 1:1 ratio so that should put them ata 45 degree slope. Although the legs are a different story. I'd have to do a test bake to see how it looks. I'lll probably be texturing the high poly model this weekend.

One common mistake I'd like to point out (not sure if you did it, just implied) is that a bevel only chamfers the edges to create a smoother (less infinitely sharp) edge which is fine for softening outlines (with a 45 degree curve).

The mistake happens when modelers are under the assumption that beveling an extrusion's edges @ 45 degrees is the same as extruding and scaling the extrusion itself to 45 degrees (then still beveling afterwords). Unfortunately, even though by just beveling you get a nice highlight, the parts that are not beveled still go straight back into space and do not bake as well as they can.

This is something for any modeler to think about
Just food for thought.

I think MWLL would rather make their own so they can optimize it for best performance and looks, you just don't click export for artwork. BTW my model has changed quite a bit, I need to post some new renders to my  deviant art account of the newest renders. Tomorrow possibly this evening I'll render out the newest changes and post them on deviant art.
