Greetings,
I have a pleasure to present the Arc Duel map. 1v1 up to 3v3 hot location, for ultimate dueling experience.
Current release, v.1.0 works with MWLL v.0.3.0 up to v.0.3.2. Any bugs can be reported to me via PM.
FAQ: Install instructions are in Readme.txt packed in zip file. Map enforces a little bit higher details, therefore isn't recommended for low-end PCs. Path to lower levels, below the main Arc, is located right from the hangar exit (no matter which side you pick). If you have missing textures - remove all folders with map (you should have only one though), redownload it, and follow the install instructions exactly, step by step. Do not install map in mwll directory.

hey sky, I'm getting a corrupted archive error when I try to unrar it (downloaded several times just to be sure), so you may want to re-up the archive.

I'm with Snowball here. I'm getting a non-validate error. telling me that the file is not there or is corrupt. Can you re-post the file??

added to sticky thread...looks good, thanks for giving me a description and name picture in that format.

Edit:  I am also having a problem unzipping the files...its telling me its an unsupported zip file and won't unzip as a result

Hey Sky, downloaded and unrar'ed fine, thanks for the re-up. 

I placed the archive into the crysis/levels folder like instructed, but I didn't know how to launch a game with the map (as it doesn't appear in the level selection when creating a server).  I copied the folder and placed it into MWLL/Game/Levels/Multiplayer/SA folder and could successfully launch the map, but the lava below the accessible areas doesn't show up.

Otherwise, the map is great, and has awesome atmosphere, and I quite enjoyed running around and taking it all in.  Having not playtested it, I can't speak for balance, but I really like it so far (besides the lava issue).

Yea, the lava issue is due to misplacing the map. I know about it and there's hardly anything that can be done.
I just erased what copies of map I had, redownloaded it, put into proper directory and... it worked perfectly.  ::)
Bleah, it's odd.  :-\ Hope that other guys won't have the problem.

On a side note, do apprentice devs have forum administrator/mod powers?  Or do your powers as a mod extend beyond this board?

I was worried about that too, but the map itself is so small that a brawler can close into range quite fast.  I know one poptarted shot can make a difference in a duel, but most brawlers can easily overcome most challenges when in close range.  Again, having not playtested this, I don't think it's proper to critique it's balance quite yet (although I'm almost 100% sure that a boat will absolutely fail on this map). Also, the rocks won't provide full cover for larger (read: taller) mechs, I think.

apprentice developers are not given any forum privs. I have moderator priv on MWLL Wiki subforum, but that's all.

Yea, I also was afraid of this, but during the tests it came up that poptarters in most cases are easy pray on this map. Unless you get crippled by a first shot you have fairly high chance of killing poptarter. Size of the map makes it impossible to poptart more than once, while rocks aren't big enough to provide permanent cover. Of course there are combinations where poptarter will win, but there are ways to counter it :) Poptarting is most annoying in 1vs1 but in 2v2 games or bigger brawlers are the way to go.

EDIT: Tried this on a hunch.  Has no real purpose, but it was nice to be correct in my assumption.  Also, got the lava to work and the map looks great.
