what ive learned from free release of MW4

1.
\I miss my Joystick . Nothing would be greater than a plug n play and assign capability for MWll. Especially with the new, and we all know it , improved air assets.

2. mech collision/mech knock. IN mw4 when u ram a mech it can be effective because u can then alpha or whatever. Also when u get hit with a heavy g or something equally nasty ,your mech rocks.. which it should.

damage to mechs under fire. I hate to say it , but mw4 looks better , and provides better feedback to the pilot dealing out damage. I am sure this will be addressed in mwll, but i was kinda shocked to be reminded how good, despite the age of the game, that mechanic is. e.g. fire, smoke, etc from damage

4 all maps , pre loaded. Nice

MWLL doesn't have these...so there's nothing to compare, hehehe ;)
Also too much flames and stuff is rather a bad thing... Mechs are made of steel, not wood.
MW5 trailer had no such effects... unless you count in breaking off the limbs, which still didn't had nearly any fireworks.

5. Never make something like MTX. Ever.

6. Offer pre-made keyboard/mouse setups, preferably one that mimics MWLL's. Default controls make me cry.

If you're talking about the damage indicator to the player, I agree.  The damage on mechs, ie bit black scorch marks i'm blah about,  MW4 looking better?  maybe you not running MWLL in a higher setting ;)

I think he means that the "damage indications" when you shoot a mech look better.

IE you hit a mech and you "know" you hit the mech without having to hear a hit noise or look at your money.
I hate Aircraft in this game, if I die from one, I leave.  I wish I could just fire back at them from a Mech.

Use Actionmapper or manually edit the .xml file...  It took me an hour or so to get everything how I liked it, but I'm using full Joystick + Throttle + Rudder Pedals.  MWLL DOES support it, you just have to set it all up out of game.  Obviously it would be great to have the Crysis UI modded so this can all be done in game, but honestly there are a lot of other things that I think are more important for the devs to be working on =)

Lulz. They decided on peer to peer for downloading the game, but any loss of connection would mean you have to start downloading again. Im pretty sure I burned through about 5gb trying to download that sucka.

Plus a reasonably simple GUI app that somehow took about 30 seconds to load any given screen.

The words 'out of your depth' come to mind here.

Playing a bit of Mektek MW4 has made me appreciate MWLL so much more. The pubs in MW4 are all just jump snipers and stupidly powerful assault mechs, taking a light or medium is a complete waste of time, and most mechs are min-maxed to within an inch of their life. It made me realise how much shit like this ruins mechwarrior games, and how great it is that MWLL is attempting to make a wide range of mechs, vehicles and tactics viable.

It also makes me really worried about when a Mechlab is introduced to MWLL.

Such customizability could lead to incredible imbalances, notwithstanding the limits the devs will apply to the options.

That's more of a problem of being able to accurately fire while jumping than mechlab, imo.
