connection issues with MW4 servers

I've update all the way up to the latest mechw4 patch and still have issues where i double click to join the server then says sry issue with mektek this server might have shut down or something. anyone know or is it that blasted coding again?

have you been able to connect before?  I know that people weren't opening up the right ports before which caused a lot of headaches.
