Is it just me or do these PPC effects look different?



The PPC effect changes depending on what settings you have set.  For the purposes of screenshots, they could be on high/very high or a custom config.

You may note that the missile pod model remains the same regardless of the missile munitions package selected.  This choice is intentional and intended to maintain the aesthetics of the platform.  The Uziel also has a unique new feature that will we will not be showcasing in this article, you will need to wait until 0.3.0 for the final reveal.

The Uziel will be included alongside numerous other updates and enhancements in the upcoming MWLL 0.3.0 release.

I'm guessing you guys got the crouch to pitch further up, otherwise known as the AA crouch, to work.

To take those screenshots I was running on a custom "HIGH" config on my DX9 machine.  The PPC particle effect has not changed (per my knowledge) so it may be just that you are seeing something different due to the "snapshot" nature of the image; grabbing a single frame of a fast moving effect.  Also, the above shot was taken on Inferno, which has some rather funky lighting to it.

oooh boy can see some issues with that lt gauss version, I guarantee that will be one of the most popular variants out there.
seems a bit overtonned though, compared to the other versions anyway. But I'm no expert on the subject and I'm sure the devs have balanced it.

Nice to see more things with MRMs though, but I'm seeing a lot of RACs going up on mechs. Needs more UAC5 and UAC2s I think.

Hm... so there's such a difference between "custom high DX9" and my very-high DX10? oh crap... I feel like I need to get that config!

So i'm thinking the new feature is the ability for me to kick a mech standing behind me, either that or an anti-Horten field ;D.

Your nuts Freak! the Prime is a prefect config for a hunter killer mech!

C variant is the same thing, minus BAP and shitty PPCs, plus an SSRM6.

Of course, there could be weapon balance changes in 3.0, so my opinion may change.
