The new underground map is awesome!  I feast for the eyes. I couldn't play the game because I was looking all over the place. I even had a learning lesson with my eight year old about stalactites and stalagmites.  He kept wanting his turn to play and I told him it was time for bed. :)  BBWWHHAAHHAAA!

That new BA heavy micro laser is teh bomb! Que the whining in 3. 2. 1. go!  ;D

I thank the Devs for all the time and effort. It's amazing. Thank you.

Does new chat font supports cyrillic letters?
It would be awesome for russian-speaking BT community

I doubt it would be in 0.3.0. But yes, unicode font for chat window could be very useful.

Got some time in tonight. The uziel cockpit was rather wobbly when walking around, moreso than other mechs. The micro heavy lazer is interesting, need some practice getting into range though. The new night vision is great! Switching weapons is still slow when using the mouse wheel, I had hoped that would be quickened up. Had some stability issues with some occasional skipping on the new mirage map. Ended my game with a hard lock just as I was switching to and firing an mppc mid-combat with a lot of people.

Tomorrow should be better, with new drivers and more being awake!

From the mwlldownload.com note: "The most recent version of MechWarrior: Living Legends is Beta release 0.3.0, which has been released on the 25th of February 2010." -- Date is out of date.

Q: Who is Betty?
A: I have been told this is "Bitchin' Betty", the voice of the Mech that says things like "Target destroyed", "Shutdown sequence initiated". Apparently in the fiction she has a tendency to take issue with, shall we say, imaginative piloting.

Bitchin' Betty was the knickname pilots gave the on-board warning voices in modern aircraft (IIRC, the first was the F-4). Originally it was a male voice, but it was discovered pilots responded faster and were more attentive to a female voice, rather than a male one.
Thus, Betty was born. the "bitchin'" part was the tendendy to keep saying "warning! pull up!" ad infinitum when they were trying to fly under radar level.... and repeating "bingo fuel... bingo fuel..." forever when fuel reached a certain level.... in the original it kept saying bingo fuel up to the moment the plane was shutdown. Can you imagine the annoyance factor of trying to land with that bitch complaining about fuel (I KNOW - the runway is RIGHT THERE!!!), or after landing, while taxiing to the hanger (I KNOW ALREADY SHUT UP!!!)?.

It kept its knickname ever since.

Just first impression, may be it will improve with some more play:

Basically I don't like all the shaking of the mech cockpits, after playing 20 minutes I just had to stop. I also think it makes the game more "noisy", lot of sounds, voices, shaking. I feel something has been taken from the game rather than added. Overdone IMHO.

About the balance, it is too soon to give an opinion but I think that now both the Owens B and The Osiris B are mostly useless as *starting mechs*, the damage is too spread to be effective. Mechs with gauss still make a much focused damage, so it is Uller or nothing. On clan vs IS servers, soon you will see everybody on clan side at start.

Does anyone have a screen shot of the Loki? There's nothing on it in the Wiki.

I partly agree. But the awesomeness of the patch negates that.

I'll add screens for all the stuff in following minutes, no worries :)

Battlefield is a hell - loud, not forgiving, place where Mechs are turn into scrap. It's suppose to be this way, or even: it's suppose to be more louder than it's now!

As for shaking - stop using Jump Jets and there won't be any additional shaking. Cause that's the only one added :)
