ok so this thing is pretty F'ing powerful.  For those that are getting frustrated by uber BA players (I'M LOOKING AT YOU SJ >:( )  Only suggestion would be to change up your mech selection.  Try something that has fast AC's on it.  Also use the new anti air crouch if the BA's are trying to be tricky by jumping over you.

My clients still downloading,  :(. So can somebody tell me what its like? Is it beam/pulse, how much more powerful is it than say the ppc, how long is the recharge time between shots, etc. can't wait to get an apc out there and wreak havoc.

It's higher damage than the regular BA laser, over a significantly longer pulse time.  It covers the most consistent complaint about BA by NOT being able to be carried in to a mech cockpit.

The huge muzzle flash and long beam duration makes aiming very hard. Still, I love it.

Here's a suggestion: Considering the damage it does, it should be renamed to "Heavy small laser" :P

they pack a punch, but I still have no problem swatting you pesky BAs like the flies you are!   ;)

I love it, it makes seeing where a BA is super easy. Just follow the giant yellow line and smoosh  8)
