well after the fun I've been having as BA gonna push for a BA star in SJ now. Since BA's in grups are now truely terrors, espicially when your deciding to go lonewolf

P.S. I also agree the muzzleflash is too big. (even tho im responible) I have disabled it already so it should be in the hotfix.

Honestly guys.  It's really stressful being a mech warrior in 0.3.0.  All I hear is jet aero engines and zzzt zzzt zzzt. I feel more like a mosquito than a terror of futuristic battlefields

I've wondered how the game would be if the "all around" weapon nerf were reverted back to 0.2.0 standards, just with the new weapon mechanics. Mechs would be more terrifying for sure.

Now Assaults without Anti-BA weaponry need to pay close attention what goes on around them, 2-3 guys teaming up with these new lasers can take one down fast.
Makes the Mauler with 4 Flamers really worth taking ;)

I've seen 3-4 BA's rip though ANYTHING that's thrown at them.  The counter will really be to C3 and PPC splash them before you get into 150m of them

lolwut? In mauler prime and Bush-B all I had to to was click once or twice in the general direction of a BA and he got instaboned. Think it all depends on the mech you're taking.

For some reason, I found it super easy to kill BA.
Because the AC10/20 have a high refire rate, if you miss, just reaim and fire again - easy BA kills.

On top of that, I feel that the PPC has extra splash damage or splash size.  I don't have to be as accurate with PPCs to kill BAs.

ALSO, mguns are still usefull against BAs.

AND medium lasers are excellent against BAs at long range.

I use machine guns.  For some reason I have trouble with lasers, but machine guns I usually rip through them.  I don't usually bother using higher caliber weapons on BA, I did once snipe one with a light gauss round, but he was standing still cresting a ridge and out of effective machine gun range, so I popped him.

Only thing I'd change at this point is adding a semi-long timer to spawn at an APC (30+ seconds) or make APC spawns a limited commodity like coolant, X number of BA spawns (5?) and it needs to be driven back to a repair bay to resupply. Now it seems like you have to kill the same pee-laser BA dude every 10 seconds or so. Not that it's hard or anything, just annoying how fast they come back.

For better or worse, at least on the new maps, the fighting has tended towards static lines, and an APC that's powered down can stay safe forever, barring a total collapse of the line. They also seem totally undetectable (except visually) when shut down. Maybe just make em unable to spawn BA while not running.

Note that I didn't say I had a problem killing BA, just the frequency with which they come back from the dead makes it a tiresome chore.
