My friend MIGHT have stumbled across the problem. He has had a problem with motion blur being enabled, doesn't matter what he does. He thought this could be lowering his FPS.

So I checked my settings and I had it turned off. But when I go into the game, and look at the settings in console, it was turned on, and not just on, but on MAX.

Now I decided to turn it off in the console, and holy crap does that improve performance. No lag zoom, no juddering, game runs almost smooth now!

So I advise anyone who's having any type of FPS decrease or problems to type this in console, and see if you see any increase in fps.

con_restricted 0
r_motionblur 0

Please post if you notice any FPS increase!!

Friend has tested, it looks like it could have very well fixed his problem!

I run with motion blur off via an autoexec.cfg file.  Turning it off in game made no difference for me.

I always run motion blur off in my autoexec.cfg as of 020, but i haven't had the drastic fps drop like the others.

You might not had the fps drop, becuase you had it off?? XD That is the point :D This improved the smoothness of the game by alot, and now my friend can play on high settings again.

No idea why 0.3.0 would suddenly force it on all the time, but forcing it off is defiently a good thing XD.

I guess we'll just have to wait til' 0.3.2. Maybe it will fix the problem. We can only hope it's something pertaining to Packet Flow.

I Completly reinstalled my Crysis, reinstalled drivers and MWLL..
Result:

i at least got a minimum of 20fps now.
I also added the mster config into the game. so now on Mirage i got ~50FPS on clearcut ~25FPS. Bevor deinstalling it was ~25@mirage and 15-20@clearcut. And that with a crossfire system.

btw on saturday my GPU-Z reported after playing 3hours that my #1 GPU was at 104° :D

I wouldnt be smiling about that. Thats getting dangerously close to melting the actual hardware. Also, most videocards are programed to underclock and slow down power consumption when getting near dangerous temps. Its a last ditch effort to lower the heat before everything blows up.

Most GPU won't die until they hit about 120c. However at that temp they will literally just die.....Even above 100c you are very likly to have automated slowdown of the GPU, to try and lower the amount of heat it is creating, and thus lowering its perfromance!

So yeah, I give your GC about 1 year before it's dead. And thats assuming it makes it that far :D

Yeah, i know that was really close ^^. Now i opend my Comp. and put an fan in front ;) A big one :P

now temp. stays at ~80° and below ;) i have to clean the case-fans and put the cables in the right place to keep temp down.

but anyway - with mster config it runs much better, even the view distance is not that long as it was before. (sometimes on mirage and sandblasted i cant see the enemy :-/ )

i tried disabling motion blur but it seems like thats not really helping. fps rate stays the same.

Make sure you disabled it in the mster config file XD. And drawdistance is locked on the servers, it wouldn't let me change it when I was on a dedicated server ;(

My settngs was on about 400 or below on the draw distance settings. And I have to put it upto like 50000, just to be able to see properly lol XD

This isn't solid information, but on a whim, I did a clean uninstall/reinstall of Crysis.  By clean uninstall, I mean I deleted the folder in MyDocs, and the entire Crysis folder in the Steam directory before I reinstalled.  Before I installed MWLL, I launched Crysis to create my profile.  Since then, I've been getting 50+ FPS on DX10 Very High (32-bit)...even on Thunder Rift!  Now, I haven't been in any match larger than 15 players or so, and that might be the key factor.  I still freeze up for 5 seconds or so at random, but I've had that issue since 0.1.0.

Edit: Just got out of a full 12 on 12 match, and framerates were just as steady.  Also, I'm not using any of the CCC packs, pure vanilla Crysis.

The game is most stable at max. 24 or below Players on any Map. The FPS drop is random and may occur from more than one specific reason. Cleaning up the install whether it is the OS or just a few software will always fix smaller dirty clusters ;)

There are really two separate issues that are getting confused here; 1) is an overall drop in average FPS and the other 2) is unexplained severe down spiking of FPS in the middle of a game before it returns to normal.  The second I don't experience very much anymore tbh.

Don't get either now motionblur is forced off. Makes MWLL alot more fun to play I can tell you that!
