Well I have it set to 0 in autoexec as well but sometimes it's still on when I check in game options.

This is why I said to do it in console. And this is the entire problem, you CANNOT disable motionblur without turning it off in console. Thus everyone has lowered FPS, and belive me my friend could barley play on low settings becuase motionblur was on. Now he disables it in console and can run it perfectly fine on high.

Press ` to open console, then type :

con_restricted 0
r_motionblur 0

And see if it makes any difference.

But this REALLY needs to be fixed!! There is no reason why everyone should have to force motionblur off, why is the game forcing it on us in the first place?! Please fix!  8)

what are your system specs- i have ran the game with 4870s (1gb toal) and got very good performance before upgrading to a 5870, there may be a bottleneck or some underlying issue holding you back, try monitoring your cpu and gpu usage while stressing it in game, if your gpu isn't 99%ish most of the time you are bottlenecking somewhere, i had similar problems when running my 4870 and when i had crossfire with ddr800 ram, got a nice boost when i upgraded and was a pain to hunt down my problem

Sys:
Phenom X4 955 @ 4x3,2ghz
2x2GB DDR2
2xHD5770 each with 1GB
SSD HDD as primary.

Crysis with mster Config on very high, no problems-> runs good  35FPS and more.
MWLL -> runs crappy as hell.... only on extremety i got above 30fps.

i completly reinstalled crysis, deleted all folders, deleted all mods. Installed the game, played it -> 50-60FPS
Rebooted the system.... fps 30-20 and below.... deleted shadow cache.. nothing worked

so there defently is a problem with the mod, not with my hardware. Metro,Bad Company... Stalker.. everything runs fine... except MWLL... :'(

The thing is, i change the settings to medium and  the fps dont change.. it all stays the same.. even if i lower my resolution from 1680x1050 to 1024x768 it doesnt change anything...

7.[WD]n1salat, you're not alone, MWLL runs much worse than Crysis for me as well. But I've gotten used to it and so I run it on low.

since 0.3.2. i got at least 30fps :) except clearcut, still bad fps probs. But anyway :D nice -> its a lot more fun now, as i can "do" something in close combat... with 15fps and below it was kinda hard :D

Yeah 0.3.2 didn't help me much by way of the fps issue introduced in 0.3.0.  I would actually be really interested to see someone with fps issues to a comparison between 0.1.0 and 0.3.2.  Do two different installs with display info running, load the same map same asset and take the same perspective to see if there is a difference.

I currently get <20 fps during combat with 16 or more assets on the server but if I face the  outside of a map I get 40-80.

I've definitely noticed that the buildings, hangars, and really cool architecture send my fps plummeting.

So do missile launches.

If I knew the settings for those in cfg I would drop them as low as I could.

I have the issue with graphics changes not persisting including motion blur.  I addressed it by editing the settings in "game.cfg" and setting game.cfg to read only, otherwise the game seems to overwrite game.cfg.  Let us know if that works for other people.

I am a bit troubled with this as I have not seen any performance hit. My FPS on my old rig stayed consistent coming into .3 from .2

A few days ago my system was
e8500
gtx 260 216 core
4GB ram.

I averaged 30FPS with dips as low as 10 and highs in the 40s at 16x10 high settings with 20+ players

My new system
i930
GTX480
6Gb Ram

55FPS+ with dips down to the 40s and highs into 100+ at 16x10 very high settings with 20+ players

Also, to those mentioning CPU, Crysis puts very little strain on the CPU (a 2.4ghz C2D is more than enough for it on the CPU end), but it is extremely GPU intensive. Make sure to turn off Aero, and Physx and you should see a small but noticeable gain.  Post Processing is a setting that can absolutely kill your FPS. Also check if your FPS goes up when you lower your resolution. If not, that may be indicative of a larger problem.  Lowering your resolution is single greatest FPS gain you can make.

You should never run games on anything but native display unless your PC is too underpowered to do so (And in that case you shouldn't have an awsome monitor in the first place :D) Becuase it will GREATLY effect how good the game looks, and in rare cases crashes/glitches/bugs. It is far better to run at native display and lower the settings down, then run awsome settings on lower res. Higher res will always look nicer (IMO).

Also the greatest killer in FPS is normally AA and AF, and as you said post processing can also murder your PC. And in most cases these things don't greatly effect how a game looks either.

Hi. Mine config is rather unusual (2xXeon E5472, 8Gb RAM, GTX280, Win7 x64), and I had very low min_fps values in game, especially in DX10 mode. In hangar on base almost on every map I got 2-3fps maximum, it was real PITA to get into vehicle and go away. I've started investigation on my issues and finally solved them. Now I should publish it.
1. In DX9 mode I have much bigger min_fps value (amost doubled)
2. I've tweaked mine autoexec.cfg and now my min_fps never drops less than 26fps in 1680x1050 VeryHigh.
Here is my autoexec.cfg:
con_restricted=0
r_MotionBlur=0
r_TexturesStreaming=0
r_DisplayInfo=1 // That's for FPS counter in top right corner of screen
d3d9_TripleBuffering=1
r_VSync=1
e_particles_thread=1
e_precache_level=1 // This gives me great boost of performance
gpu_particle_physics=0
r_MultiGPU=0
r_GeomInstancing=1

So, I think if you have FPS troubles, try any combination of this cvars.

By never dropping below 26fps i'm assuming you are generally running it at 50+? If so thats useful.
