The huge muzzle flash and long beam duration makes aiming very hard. Still, I love it.

Here's a suggestion: Considering the damage it does, it should be renamed to "Heavy small laser" :P
That's why its heavy micro laser and not God's hand of doom
..., but this is battletech, and sense is often not made.

Fun fact:
The Heavy Micro Laser OF DOOM allowed me to (practically) one-shot a Hollander II.

How?
Well, quite simple - it was a Hollander II A (Heavy Gauss one). It was sitting there and sniping at a nearby brawl between a couple of mechs on Frostbite.
I sneaked up on him and actually got within 100m -  he wasn't paying attention and/or was in passive mode.
So i threw a  C8 Grenade at his back torso, shot him with my PPC, hammered him with two SRMs, threw another charge while switching to my Laser (OF DOOM) and blew him back to his ancestors.
Took about 3-4 seconds IIRC to completely destroy his mech that way - i bet he never knew what hit him  ;D

To be honest I hate BA with a passion when I'm in a mech cause most of the mechs I like dont have too much anti-BA weaponry but I still like this new weapon. While I think it might be a little op'd, my torso went from green to red in a light mech in literally 5 seconds against one BA, it is good that BA are a force to be reckoned with again rather than just being annoying.

I did this all the time before 0.3.0.  Most Hollanders can't even take 3 c8's to the back plate.
Thanks for the view.

I nailed some poor doughfoot with a cgauss at what must have been 500m this morning.  I wasn't even shooting at the guy, but he JJed right into the shot...  All I see is this red mist slowly settling to earth...

Nothing like an infantryman walking into naval caliber gun fire =P
