Clan "Awesome" Camping their own base for frags

I have been in several games tonight where a team/clan will camp their hanger bay and just pwn anyone advancing on their base by a good [entire_team]:1 ratio. Games end with no clear winner. But the frags on the other side are heavily stacked. The awesomeness of the game is lost.

I'm not sure how this could be fixed other than jumping on a server with a good admin.

Games have enemy base raping counter measures. How about a home base camping counter measure? Perhaps random beacons across the map must be meet or you will self destruct?

One of the stronger cases for needing an objective-based game mode...

I would probably refuse to engage their self-repairing hangar-fortress, hang around midfield and make disparaging comments about their mothers. Alternatively, there may be Fbombs or LtGauss sniping. Or maybe a rush with a pack of cheapo lights, hoping a few of them go critical.

I hope the current super-duper heavy base defenses and anti-lt/ams turrets aren't final, i still think we need a better solution. The other gamemode is one way to fix it i guess but it still leaves the standard SA gamemode without a better solution. Maybe the SA gamemode shouldn't have bases but instead dropships in orbit for teams with a fixed amount of equipment. The first team which runs out of the stuff loses. I'm just wishing for more creative solutions that effectively get around issues instead of standard make tactic A/B impossible -type of solutions.

Here's a thought, DON'T RUSH THEIR BASE!  Seriously, if you team gives them room to come out they will.

take everything that can be used for artillery and shoot the hell onto their hangar. They will come out or die in hellfire.

Just leave their base, they'll come out on their own.

That's why Huntress runs a no attacking from base policy, unless it's being assaulted.

That's why on all hosts it's a good habit not to engage any targets within 1 Square around the base.

Just yesterday I was playing on a server when the map switched to Sandblasted.
Me and two others went to the right flank, all passive. We advanced to the middle and then slowly moved forward. But we saw no enemies, so I was sure that the enemy team had the same idea, just with the other flank
Then we some action goiing on near the enemy base, and once we moved over the hill we saw the entire team camping beneath their automatic turrets.
They had at least 5 minutes to get into another position, but they decided to just stand there and wait...
I mean it's legit. But boring as hell. I always prefer to move forward instead of waiting, unless I'm expecting someone round that corner.

Waste of ammunition. Firebomb the entrance from a huge height, and wait for them to come out. All the stravag scum will emerge eventually.
