There are times when you hem them in and they can't get out. This seems to happen only on Thunder Rift though...... ::)

Artillery ought to do the trick... if not, send in a BA and let it take fire. Then, come in with passive heavies/assaults and keep up the artillery strikes. Or, come up to them, shoot, and run. They might actually chase after you, no matter that their base defense turrets say...
People are stupid if they think they can have their own way.

... that is, unless they have HEAP rounds, high-explosive homing missiles, and terawatt lasers on a walking weapons platform, that is...

Base turrets can kill a battle armor almost instantly, and artillery strikes are nullified by the anti-missile/longtom turrets in bases.

Turrets instapwning BAs is pretty annyoing. Especially on Inferno. Whoops, got too close to the base for half a second! ::)

You're talking to someone who's never played the game yet gives advice. Don't even bother :P

Maybe Jason watched each and every MW:LL video out there, and now "fully understands the game".
Why would he give the perfect advice to use LRMs and LTs on Thunde Rift? I mean the low ceiling makes most LRMs not even reach the target, and I think LTs might have similar problems....

And all the stalactite and stalagmites will block most indirect weaponry.  ::)

If the enemy just wants to sit in their base (Even if you give them ample room and time to move out) there is only a few things you can do:

Fbomb the crap out of the base, I'm sure 6 people all doing this would not only look good but be very effective in at least moving them into their hanger and looking more cowardly.

ERPPC/LG spam. Get everyone into mechs with ERPPC or LG sit as far away as possble. Pick off the enemy mechs, or even the turrets if you get that bored.

On thunderrift, it's going to be more of a case of brute force running headlong into their base taking out their turrets asap and camping their base for 1-5min blowing them all up, and then running away so you don't spawn rape...... This is impossible at the start of the game mind you, but if they camp at the start I would just find another server.

Either way it's going to end up with one team camping, and the other team being cheap and cheesy to actually do anything all game....

Yes, make all your decisions based upon the inevitable complaints of the forum monkeys!

Why such an approach to the Members of the Forum ??? No monkey has the same taste of bananas, and each has their own opinion! Which imo should be given at least some respect and thought! Plain and simply not wanting to look at others opinion and at least try to view those opinions from the beholder. Discarding the Members opinions as a complaint is a rather autocratic approach.

But most folk will express what they think is wrong with the mod, there are only few threads discussing the benefits of this mod. Because it is generally a "I like this mod, thanks devs" thread.
Rants are far more specific. But that does not mean the mod is entirely bad and not worth playing at all.
I highly suggest you go install that Crysis and MW:LL just to find out, Antalope.

I'm not saying criticism is a bad thing, not at all. Every discussion helps the devs and the community to improve the gameplay experience.

I did not mean to speak badly of the forum community, but like all forum communities it is hardly a shining example of rational thought.  Please consider that my comment was a response to the "opinion" that it is not worth trying our game because of some posts on this thread.

Gents....ive been playing this babe from start and just grew disgusted by the tactics that were being used in game by approximately 85% of the players ;)
