Switching to the other side because one team is raping the other team does'nt work for me. If I am on the winning team I want to enjoy my win. If I am on the team beeing raped I am not switching to be with the cool kids. Infact I would like the round to end so I can have a chance to return the love. Every step you take to make bases a safe zone will inrease the teams camping at their own base. No asset that has been developed will change this. If my base AMS removes all missles for 500m around my base I can sit at 501m and pop my tent. If you shoot at me or rush me I just take 2 steps back into invincible you can't camp my base nana zone. I agree getting camped into your base is not fun. Its called losing. Ticket based games are 10 times more fun than what we usually play but you always have that last asshat sitting in his hanger bay 1 making everyone log off. At the very least turrets should be a switchable server side option. The current trend creates 1.5 hour matches fighting over the same dam hill. Want to see a server go empty? Load inferno....

Games have enemy base raping counter measures. How about a home base camping counter measure? Perhaps random beacons across the map must be meet or you will self destruct?

This is why the TLL rules like 'don't attack enemy hangars' are confusing to me.

Those zones should be 'ceasefire' zones but not 'go here and we ban you' zones. If a single enemy fires a single SRM from inside his base walls at an enemy, it becomes free game to run in and kick the crap out of him. I enjoyed 'base raping' specifically on old clearcut because all the missile boaters would hide in there and then cry, die, and ragequit when the brawlers finally got close enough to do something.

No one would ban you if you were attacked by the enemy who purposefully camps in his own hangar. On the contrary, unprovoked basecamper(that is not driven to engage you near/at his base by your own actions) have good chances to be banned. As a rule if thumb, don't attack mechs at the enemy base if they don't attack you or your teammates, don't overpursuit your enemy up to the mech bay, don't press enemy team to the gates of their own base and you'll be cool.

I am guessing this is not applicable to ticket games when the last guy is standing in his hangar making faces and rude gestures at the last team?

I can't speak for server admins, but I guess that's true.

The Server Rules, as they are written currently, will be enforced on TC Mode as they are on SA Mode. We do not want to encourage base camping in any form. Directly attacking newly spawned assets within or close to their base will ensue in a Warning which if not followed will either force us to Kick that player or worst case Ban the Player.
We do encourage all Players to Fair Gaming which in a scenario where one Team has forced the opponents to their base will withdraw at least one grid from the Enemy Base, after any targets have been either destroyed or entered their base.
I will say this again. Pursuing a target to their Base is allowed, but staying there and shooting at fresh assets exiting the spawn area is not.

? Shader issue!

Wut wut?

are you saying i'm having shader issues.

if so elaborate, otherwise if you expand the pic, the obelisk reads 'BATTLEFIELD ENTRANCE'

The image was severely dark on my end :'( and since that actually does looks like a specific shader issue, e.g. dark spikes/pillars all over on Sandblaster I assumed that.

And yes I know of that dreaded pillar though I do not think that most players even notice the text :-X
