This is why the TLL rules like 'don't attack enemy hangars' are confusing to me.
No one would ban you if you were attacked by the enemy who purposefully camps in his own hangar. On the contrary, unprovoked basecamper(that is not driven to engage you near/at his base by your own actions) have good chances to be banned. As a rule if thumb, don't attack mechs at the enemy base if they don't attack you or your teammates, don't overpursuit your enemy up to the mech bay, don't press enemy team to the gates of their own base and you'll be cool.
I am guessing this is not applicable to ticket games when the last guy is standing in his hangar making faces and rude gestures at the last team?
I can't speak for server admins, but I guess that's true.
The Server Rules, as they are written currently, will be enforced on TC Mode as they are on SA Mode. We do not want to encourage base camping in any form. Directly attacking newly spawned assets within or close to their base will ensue in a Warning which if not followed will either force us to Kick that player or worst case Ban the Player.
We do encourage all Players to Fair Gaming which in a scenario where one Team has forced the opponents to their base will withdraw at least one grid from the Enemy Base, after any targets have been either destroyed or entered their base.
I will say this again. Pursuing a target to their Base is allowed, but staying there and shooting at fresh assets exiting the spawn area is not.
Maybe they haven't seen this yet?
