I have a somewhat (not very) related question that doesn't really deserve its own thread so I'm going to ask it here:

It it in any way useful to you devs if we post our event logs after any CTDs? I've had three since the patch and I haven't done a damn thing about them because I wasn't really doing anything untoward when they happened so there didn't seem to be any point in posting a bug report. But if event logs help you I'll gladly put them up somewhere.
The Windows system event log does not really do us much good as it will only tell us that Crysis had an issue, and not the details within the process.  We do not ship public MWLL DLLs with logging enabled as it causes a large amount of client lag due to the overhead and we have no good method for the general public to supply us with logs.

I wonder how much of a reduction we will see here? Hopefully "Appropriate" makes the reward based on the weight of the unit detected. So early game when everyone is in lights is less rewarding than late game when everyone is in heavies. We don't really have a lot of people in C3 mechs late in a map.

I hope it's this way, too. I mean, I currently don't mind getting so many free points I can buy an assault in 15 minutes, but if this is something that can happen in the later part of a match instead of the start, that'd be way more useful for those joining late to be both useful and maybe buy a heavy/assault of their own before the match is over.

Exactly, I don't hate joining late nearly as much in 0.3.0 because the C3 cash comes fast and easy. Don't get my wrong, as it is now  pays too much. I just hope its weighted so it can still entice people to scout late game. In 0.2.0 scouting when everyone else is in heavies is the best way to meet the reaper.

It is very important that all testers continue to play on the MWLL Debug Server as much as possible.

So I'm now officially a tester? Because I  logged onto this server...

the debug server is horribly laggy guys, i got on right after installing this and there were something like 24 people on it, by the time the map was changing the server was full, and once spawned on the new map i had no sound, the timeout logo in middle of screen kept lighting up, and chat would not even show up.....so i exited Crysis, made sure my sound was working in windows, etc.....restarted Crysis, MWLL, and tried to rejoin and it took forever to actually spawn, when i did i died instantly, suicide it said, i never even saw myself spawn that time, then finally respawned and got in and the lag is unbearable......i have no issues with any other multiplayer games....servers that dont allow 32 players dont have this problem either




Sure it felt different but so did my wife after the kids were born. A little loose but it still gets me off every time. -- Suspect

Mine were a bit more specific than that, they told me what crysis DLL caused the crash, but if that's not really useful I understand.

Maybe you should consider giving us the logging DLLs anyway and letting us chose when/ if to swap them out. I certainly wouldn't use them all the time but I'd glady run them sometimes if it helped.

I mean, stability is still an issue in MWLL and I think it's something we'd all like to see fixed, but right now I kind of feel like there's not much I can do to help out in this area. And it's good of you to worry about our FPS and all, but we are beta testers and I think we do have some obligation to just suck it up and do something helpful every once in a while even if it means we're not having fun.

Perhaps just give us a DL link for them in a stickied thread somewhere with a big disclaimer telling us what they'll do, and make another thread in bug reports for us to post whatever crash reports they spit out.

It's to be expected, they do have logging turned on that server
