I have never used CCC, and I crash 1-2 times each round, and have a problem one day on frostbite where I crashed 3 times in a row right after reconnecting which still in spectator mode.
Almost every time I crash, my computer will try to read off my crysis disc.
This suggests to me that there must be something its looking for in crysis and then it just dumps me to desktop sometimes right away, other times I can play up to 2 minutes after this.
I tried deleting the shaders folder, but the problem persists. I cant say I have noticed any difference at all either way.

What frustrates me the most is not the crashes, as I can usually reconnect in a couple minutes.
The biggest frustration for me is the loss of progress.
My kills are saved.
My points are saved.
Bu my rank is reverted to cadet making me having to run around in a light mech when heavy and assaults are on the field.
These in turn always 1 or 2 shots me, usually before I can even get in a single shot myself making it completely impossible for me to progress, making me just want to just throw my computer out the window in in sheer frustration.

I know Im waking up a thread, but I thought I'd share something I discovered in regard to CTD's on my system.

In a previous thread on performance in Marshes I think it was, someone posted a link to the CCC ver 3 Optimiser and I installed it using dual core with 2GB RAM and 9600GT as the setting (I actually have a core i5-750 (quad), 4GB RAM and a 9600GT). IMHO, it didn't look quite as pretty as before (which was; all high, no AA, 1600x900), but FPS were a little better.

CTD's which were an uncommon thing, suddenly became quite common.

Today I deleted the autoexec.cfg file that CCC used to uninstall it and magically, I haven't crashed since.

I don't know if this helps you, but it certainly did help me.

When you removed CCC it should have cleared your shader cache. Simply deleting the shader cache worked for me to reduce my CTDs.

The screen goes black, but the sound continues to play...my monitor is in fact turning off/or not getting vid card input for a second or so.

This usually means your gfx card is running too hot - That can also happen within the Lobby or Crysis background screen because for some reason Crysis uses 100% gpu there...

So go and check your gfx card's temperatures with a program like gpu-z, they should stay below 80°C at all times.

Actually, I couldn't find an uninstall feature, so I checked out the posts by the guy who made it on the InCrysis forums and he said to just delete the file, so that's all I did. I didn't ouch the shaders folder at all.

I'm wondering if perhaps one or two of the features activated/deactivated may be effecting the stability of some systems.

If the autoexec.cfg file is moved out of the Crysis folder (to the desktop or to wherever you wont lose it), and people try playing for a couple of days to see if it makes a difference on more systems than mine, at least it will rule it out as an issue.

If after a few days, it hasn't made a difference, just move the file back and it is back the way it was. Very easy to rule out a possible cause to an issue that is plaguing many people.

I suppose it could also be people putting the graphics on higher than they should for their system and they should turn down some of the options, but I know few will do that, even for testing purposes.

Make something idiot-proof and they'll make a better idiot.

Ive run the game on med and low..still I crashed just as frequently.

Frostbite and Clearcut both start out fine, but around a certain time, it'll always CTD...after that, I cant get back in anymore.  I'll usually CTD right after the map loads, or sometimes while Im in the spectator view...rarely does it allow me to spawn in, but when it does, I CTD before I can get down the stairs.

The point where I cant log into these two maps seems to happen around the 30-40min mark...regardless if I was in the map previously.  When it does work, it loads in fine, no stutters or lag...but when its CTDing and not letting me in, I notice in spectator view that its very laggy and stuttery...its literally the only time I see any lag or stuttters.  My system normally powers through this game on everything High like a champ.

Its not my GPU over-heating...Im monitoring it now.  The fan doesnt even go above 50% speed, the temp sits at about 70degs.  GPU useage isnt topping out either...it has plenty of overhead left during play.

The CTDs woul dbe barebale, but my play is becoming excruytiating because Im losing my rank.  It sucks to be stuck in a Uziel B all match because I cant ever break 60k without eventually CTDing and needing to start over.

*update*
I also disabled my sound card and played with no sound...it CTDed again.  Though It may have demonstrated improved stability...I'd have to observe it over another day or so.  the one map it didnt CTD was when it was only 4-5 of us on the map...most of the time it was only 3...thats not much of a stress test.

I just ran the Crysis tutorial...I cant even finish the video demostration without a CTD.   So far, the farthest Ive gotten is the taking down of the AI Turrets...that was on th e3rd try...it CTDed before that the other two times(once with sound card disabled, the 2nd had the sound card on).  Once again, I monitoired my GPU...67 dges and my fan on 80%...the EVGA controller normally runs it at 40% togive me temps in the low 70s.

DirectX Diagnostic doesnt come up with any problems.

If you get the same problems running Crysis, that suggests thats its not MWLL there is something with but rather crysis.
Hopefylly things wil get better when they port to Wars.
I for one get regular CTDs around half way through a match.
And as you say, the CTDs would be bearable if it would only save the ranks.
I used to do so during 0.2.0, why it dont do so now I dont know.

I experience about 2-3 CTD per match, more on some maps, more when the ping is a bit high, more when the server is overloaded.

The thing that worries me most is that MWLL 0.1.0+hotfix was perfectly stable and Crysis is perfectly stable. 0.2.0 become unstable, 0.3.0 is worse.

The problem is that it seems it is getting worse each time. I don't think that simply switching to Crysis Wars will automagically fix everything, there is something else that happened in the 0.1.0->0.2.0 transition that has not been assessed and fixed yet.

I think that making the MWLL stable should be the highest priority, everything else would be pointless if the game is not reliable.

I just re-installed...I made it through the tutorial this time, but CTDed twice on Mirage...each time just as i was getting close to the 70 or 80k rank.  Its such a kick in the nuts after almost getting to  competitive rank when using a light or medium mech against heavies and assualts.

I cant stomach the constant disappointment and lose of my efforts and hard work...its enough to want to uninstall and walk away.  The fix for the loss of rank would be sufficient while they figure out the CTD issues.

Ive done everything I can on my end to fix the CTDs, just let me keep my rank...I'd appreciate a word on that fix from the devs, its an issue at teh core of viable game-play right now.

I have been through the enitre troubleshooting guide, twice even, and still I get CTD at least once every match around the time when heavys and assults become the nor on the field.
If as "NSallaNuto" says the 0.1.0 was stable, how come it has become more unstable with each release?

Going up against most of the heavies and assualts in a light mech is tantamount to suicide.
I have tried to sit back in a light mech with LRMs or other long range weapons, only to get picked off by some buggwe with LT or arrows.

Problem is that when a guy in a heavy or assualt see a light mech, he considers that an easy kill and will go at you relentlessly.
If youre lucky you may get off 1 or 2 shots beofer they take you down, but nowhere near enough to get you the points you need for a better mech.

Ask your temmates to donate some money you say?
I my experience, half the time someoen asks for that they get no response whatsoever.
Players seem more willing to hoard money for themselves, and only when there are like 10 min left on the clock does someone offer to share.
At this poin it would give you just enough time to get into a mech and get out and fire off a few rounds before the game ends.

I can live with the CTD, as ling as my rank is at least saved, so I dont have to play the last 20-30 minutes being cannon fodder
