RAC spin-up buggy
« on: June 28, 2010, 09:01:29 PM »
1. Start spinning up a RAC5
2. Let go without firing a single bullet (don't finish spin-up)
3. Immediately press fire button again and keep pressed
4. RAC won't fire unless you let go of the button for about 2 seconds

RAC speed adjustments should only be limited by imagination, ever increasing, ever higher!!!!

Duplicated that, seems that will also bug the spin up sound effect to stay on when not in use or not turn on while firing graphic shows the weapon in use.  All and all seems to have issues throughout for this weapon.

My vote to fix this is to remove spin up - or rather have the guns start firing immediately, but at a lower ROF, before building up to full speed within a few seconds.

People are stupid if they think they can have their own way.

... that is, unless they have HEAP rounds, high-explosive homing missiles, and terawatt lasers on a walking weapons platform, that is...

I would just be annoyed by spin-up. My 3 cents.  :'(

Ok big lols for that.

I've noticed the same, though I've also had times in the Hollander where, without damage to the shoulder or the RAC and with full ammo, it refuses to fire. The standard UACs works fine, but the RAC will not fire. This is not chronic but not until the Mech is destroyed and I buy a new one is the problem relieved. Repping in the hangar does not solve, nor does powering down. Not a deal breaker at all but just odd.

I've had the same thing happen to me in the RAC Bushwacker. Both weapons still intact, full of ammo, but they just refuse to fire. Seems to be a bug common to the RAC5 itself and not just individual mechs.
