You're right, there is something genuinely weird going on here...I think I'm about tapped out for answers.

COMMUNITY TECH BRAINS, ASSEMBLE! Lay some knowledge on this issue and put it to bed.

Might as well post your system specs here, it might give some ideas and someone will probably ask for them eventually anyway.

BTW, have you tried running the game in DX9?

DX9 just crashes all the time. And DX10 looks prettier. I haven't of course tried DX9 just to see about the Fog.

All I know is there is like an invisible wall that just stops me seeing stuff. I hosted a DX10 server to see if i could remove the fog by lowering settings. Just made it worse, same in DX9. Sandblasted just always has that dust fog stuff on horizan that isn't helping. Not that I could see past it if it wasn't there but it helps in general if it wasn't there.

After testing on another map, it seems i can see now a little bit farther (1300m) but havent checked with jets. Also I HAVE TO zoom or I just don't see nothing at long range. Ok maybe thats the point of zoom? But surley you aren't blind when you aren't zoomed in lol. Basically sandblast + dune dust on horizan = super duper gay.

It won't let me change the draw distance on dedicated servers so I guess I'm just screwed forever. Sigh.

Have you tried a plain old reinstall?
