Right, Leer, but this isn't exactly tickets - it's based off mechs rather than lives, if it makes any sense (and this is how I understand it, correct me if I'm wrong).
So instead of starting with tickets that decrease as players are killed you start with a fixed number of CBills per team. It's like Test of Strength at the beginning, but there's respawning. So let's say a team starts with ten million CBills or something (numbers straight out of my ass).
Each player ranks up as normal in SA mode, but points are only tracked with reference to individual players so that they can make rank - the game only says "hey phobeste has x points that makes him a pcm and leer has y and that makes him sakhan" instead of "IS has n and Clan has m so Clan is winning".
So, each person when they buy things is taking money from the team, with a maximum of whatever their rank says (like a company credit card with a max!) So CBills are being debited from the team's account, and when enough people buy/fix up enough 'mechs that the team runs out of money and people can't spawn because they can't buy BA armor, that team loses.
It's a lot like tickets, yeah, but with enough subtle differences that I like it better.
