Hey, I saw that DeadOnAim joined TLL I think.
Now he's "rooining his own gaem doods" :P
(Check epic paint skills/are clans ruining the game if you don't know what I'm talking about)

Kinda funny when you think about it.

Let me start with saying that I have no problem with pubbers being non affiliated, thats a choice and thats ok, what that being said I have a question...well a couple of questions.

I would like to know what those people who play pub matches are looking for from their experiance?

Is there any way a unit or clan could enhance this experiance?

Do you chose not to join a unit/clan because of social, game based, or just personal reasons(such as no time to give, or had a bad experiance)

What frustrates you the most about random matches?

Would any of you be interested in unit/clan organized matches for the non affiliated with times and details posted?

Do the non affiliated have any questions for the people who are in units/clans?

Well thats about it for me, I hope to get a productive discussion going with this because I'm truely curious.

I enjoy and prefer teamplay and used to play as part of a unit in the MW 3 and MW4 days. I play this game alot so joining a unit would enhance my experience, but at the same time, despite the fact that I do play a bunch, it has to remain my last priority behind family, GF, friends, and work...so I can't feel obligated to play if a match is going on.

It may be that there's a unit out there that fits my typical schedule but I guess...the long and short of it is that I never bothered to look into the various units and...I've just never been invited.

One thing I can say for sure is that I do enjoy playing competatively and while I don't want or need teammates who are competative assholes, I also get annoyed at the folks who aren't giving it their all...the team who likes to get drunk and baked while screwing around with crappy configs, not worrying about how well they do at the game...that's not really my kind of team either.

Normally units and clans do not invite people, unless they play with you a lot.  Mostly all it takes is to ask, units and clans go to invite mode when they say recruiting is closed but they really just only have one or two slots left :P

Slots? Back when I was in a unit, we would would always invite regulars who demonstrated skill and teamplay. Never can have too many professional bad asses ya know.  ;)

I look for fun, in the the relatively small and erratic times I am able to play (1 hour per session on average, 3-4 times a week, different times). Oddly (because I am not affiliated) I mostly enjoy teamplay, and always try to share cash and advise on targets, ask for contacts, etc. I'm nearly always the most verbose person on the server. Usually people don't respond, but sometimes they do and it makes it more fun.

If noone is responding I like to take fast mechs and hunt. In fact this is great even when people do respond - 2-3 LBX20 Shadowcats can really tear stragglers/lone wolves to pieces.

Is there any way a unit or clan could enhance this experiance?
It certainly sounds like it. If it was a pretty relaxed place, it would be perfect for me.

Do you chose not to join a unit/clan because of social, game based, or just personal reasons(such as no time to give, or had a bad experiance)
Personal reasons - time available is erratic and don't really want to have to take on much responsibility/commitment.

I also have some problems with language - I'm based in England but a lot of the Euro based clans appear to be German or other non-English, and I might have ping issues on US servers with a US clan. Sure, so many Europeans can speak English, but I can hardly demand that when joining a majority German group! I have some German skills, but I'm not great.

What frustrates you the most about random matches?
That people won't talk or cooperate much.

Would any of you be interested in unit/clan organized matches for the non affiliated with times and details posted?
Yes, certainly. I'd love it. Do you want us to PM you? Or is this enough?

Do the non affiliated have any questions for the people who are in units/clans?

Well we find that after getting to a certain girth of players you can become unweildly...plus we like to have that family atmosphere rather than a group of people that mutually use eachother to achieve objectives.

@Nordwars- You and two other people have said you want to get involved in match type games, we are working on that kinda stuff now so don't worry it is on its way

(Will it be like Pros VS Joes, or mixed teams?)

Those that have PMed me and shown interest with be PMed in return, otherwise I will make a thread about it.

Plus there is a league, legends arena, that I'm working on as well and that is something you pub guys may be interested in, it will have 1v1, 5v5, and 10v10 ladders.
