PPJoy Joysticks Make Game Unplayable
« on: July 09, 2010, 03:17:49 PM »
When joysticks are installed in PPJoy, MWLL will have the public chat always open and the camera will "freak out" (see video). This makes the game Unplayable.

For a somewhat low quality video example of what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B76HNTmP7zk

This is due to a POV input error.

Be sure to add the following 3 lines to your joystick.cfg file and have an empty line after all

pov_0_disable = 1
pov_1_disable = 1
pov_2_disable = 1

And now, for a true show of how necromancy is done on the internet...
I don't use PPJoy, but I do have a couple joysticks installed. I was able to edit their config files no problem, but the one in \game\config results in the game forcing an exit due to modified files. Is there a way to edit these files through actionmapper, so that I (hopefully) don't get booted every time?

the actionmapper doesn't modify any file within the mod's install directory.  The joystick.cfg and actionmaps.xml file that you are to be modifying for configuring exist only within the My Documents\My Games\Crysis Wars\Profiles directory. If you're modifying anything other than these, or the autoexec.cfg/system.cfg at the crysis wars install location, then you're doing something wrong.
