I'm not a big fan of a one-shot-kill weapon that can be used outside of radar signature range.  As such, you can expect the weapon to be very heavy and have some appropriate downsides associated to it, as well as a very telling path back to the point of origin.

Isn't the mPPC a one shot kill weapon that can be used outside radar range?  Right now if I want to go on anti-BA duty as a BA, the last weapon I want is the Bear-AC (despite that's all it is good for). So I would much rather have a 700 meter range BA Gauss rifle (complete with blue gauss tracer line) with a long reload time. Make it so you can't take it into a mech, like  the microlaser, thats fine. Just give us something to cut down a brazen BA from range.

I can double tap a BA from 400m+ with my AC2.  Rarely happens though cause seeing a BA from that far out is rare as they're not on radar. Plus they'd have to be relatively still

I think the more we look at the current selection of weapons, the more we realize there is no unique place for a long-range gauss weapon.  We've got plenty.

As far as making such weapons heavy, the best way I can think of is to make the crosshair elastic.  That is, small adjustments are slow, but large adjustments, like turning around to face a new threat, can be made at relatively normal speed.

Hell, I wouldn't mind that placed on the micro heavy laser.
Thanks for the view.

The mPPC is a weapon that can one-shot at just outside of radar range, but there is a distinct difference between "just outside" and 800m away.  It also has a pretty impressive sound/splash and you can generally figure out where it came from with just a single shot and retaliate if that player missed.  The same would not be true of a Gauss rifle.

The Bear AC is being changed to make it a more viable choice for BA v. BA interpersonal relations.

splash is a one hit kill too, since Gauss doesn't have splash and the trail generally is a little more noticeable as it stays a half second longer, the King David would need a range boost over the mppc would it not?

Add on the fact that the splash is 100% lethal, making it far easier in some cases than a gauss rifle would be, and I'd say I really do hope you plan to include an armor upgrade path at some point.

I still think the current AC2 functions more like the Bear Superheavy Autocannon than the Bear Autocannon does.  Just make the current Bear the heavy machine gun and things work out fine.

Actually that's a good point on the Bear AC and the AC2.  Some features should be reversed on them bring them inline with their damage potential.

Remove the "wind up" from the Bear AC and put it on the AC2.  This removes the "precision" of the 1st shot on the AC2 making it more of a heavy weapon then a semi snipe rifle.

This would also make the Bear AC a faster draw for BA fights were a speedy shot would make it the top anti BA weapon.
