A warning? That's pretty excessive for voicing your opinion.

See, I got a warning for my post.

Don't think about that for too long. I'll be talking to the person who issued the warning and already removed your warning level.

I had imagined the response would be something along the lines of what it was, but I had no idea that animation was, as KingLeerUK said, the most complicated and involved part. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, I just thought I'd point it out. I'd imagine -AAA- got a warning because he implied that I'm stupid and without saying anything helpful posted in an attacking manner. I'd use the term "opinion voicing" rather lightly to describe it. On that note, "bitchy" isn't at all the tone I meant to have. ::) When I said I thought it was funny that the legs didn't look like any of the three, I meant that literally, not sarcastically or mean-spiritedly. As a budding programmer I have an idea of how massive a project like MWLL can be, so please don't think I take for granted that the dev team works as volunteers. Hell, if I were particularly good at it (by budding I mean I have a basic working knowledge of java) I'd want to help. Furthermore, please don't burn me at the stake. :'(

On a side note I think it's funny (again in the literal sense) that the actual developers aren't the ones frothing at the mouth over this thread. I think defender even got to vent some steam. :P

Man, I'm good at derailing threads.  To Leeko, I didn't really mean to say you were bitching, but the title "Really, guys?" implied that you thought the devs were just being lazy or something, and I'm pretty defensive of those who have made my beloved MWLL.

Don't think about that for too long. I'll be talking to the person who issued the warning and already removed your warning level.

Thank you, dude.

LOL, I just noticed that the battletech Awesome looks like it's wearing a diaper, and it's legs don't even match :o
BTW, the legs that are copy/pasted look the most like Atlas legs, so I'm guessing that's what it said when you narced em

The Atlas, Awesome and Mauler shares the same legs, as does other Mech chassis ;)

I didn't even notice.

And frankly, the drawings of the mechs included, their legs look pretty similar.

great thinking devs for reuse of components!
People are stupid if they think they can have their own way.

... that is, unless they have HEAP rounds, high-explosive homing missiles, and terawatt lasers on a walking weapons platform, that is...

Those purists should take a good look at the Mauler hip in the TRO image and try to imagine how something as fapped up as that is going to work and those tank-shaped flat feet on the Awesome and it's idiotic knee, I hope nobody really wants to see these ingame unless they expect them to have treads under those feet on which they roll along...

How ever am I to continue to enjoy piloting a Mauler while bearing the grim knowledge that my pinky toes aren't canon!?

Oh the humanity...  ::)

So, they haven't finished the detailed legs for each chassis; well I don't really care that much, I've noticed this some when back after te release and it still bugs me a little, but on the other hand it's better then having only the Mauler or only the Atlas simply because the devs didn't have the time to finish things in time. I prefer getting a chassis more to use even if it uses the legs of another, I mean the most characteristic part is the upper one after all. I mean when the Warhawk comes and after that maybe the Daishi and they'd share the legs I'd still be uberly happy to get a new chassis more. :D

Although I ask my self if they will actually fix this some time in the future, I assume not and if the 2nd choice were more new mechs I'd go with that anyway. ;)

To be honest, it's not like the original drawings paid much attention to the legs/gave them any real defining details.

Damn off-model 80s art :P

EDIT: Well, the Mauler, I guess you could say has more defined legs.
