The CTDs are unfortunate, but I think the consensus is that we can deal with them...it is Beta after all.  But I also think its easy to see that the loss of one's rank 1-2 times a match is disruptive and devastating to player morale.

God Bless those who dont have to deal with CTDs 2-3 times a match...but for those of us who suffer through it, we need help...bad...and soon.

Its very disappointing to get stuck in a Uziel all match, every match, because you cant get above the rank of 60k CBills without CTDing and lossing all progess.

I can almost taste the frustration...

I agree it's better for the CTDs to be fixed.   But until then...

Ask for money!   None of us want to see you stuck in an entry level mech all game  :o

Last night I had >300K CBills for half a match but I couldn't give them away.

I should add, I've always found other players very willing to give me a leg up after a CTD.

Ask for money you say Virt?
I have lost count of the times I have seen players asking for money and gotten absolutely no response whatsoever.
My experience is that about half the players seem more interrested in hoarding money for themselves.
However when there are about 10 min left of a match, thats when the offers suddenly start flooding in, at a time when you would be lucky to get out into the filed and kill anything before time is up.

I for one have a hard enough time raking up enough money just to be able to pay for repairs and ammo, or I would gladly help those in need.

You are playing on different servers than i am....
I get money most of the times i ask... and if not its mostly because people have none or miss the message (crysis chat sucks btw.)

I dunno where youre playing, but I play mostly on the TLL servers, Until recently I played under a different nick, as thats apparently where most the players are.
I'm not saing things are this away, just that this is how I have percived things.
But then again it seems my perception may be wrong.
Most other servers are deserted all the time, and hoping in there to try and get others to play there is dufficult at best in my experience.

Will be fixed in the next update.
There comes a point where the talking must stop, and people have to do actual work.

It's the other way around. I usually rack up several hundred K and ask around. Nobody ever wants any. I can assure you, if you ask for cash and I got some, you will receive it.

I had a spate of CTD recently - and still often get to a point I can tell I need to reboot; however, here is what I did and seems to help:

1.  Set up a modest autoexec.cfg in Crysis folder (sound settings, basic graphics settings --- not full-on CCC-type settings)

2. Delete shaders after crashes, or before a run of games (when I remember!)

It's not 100%, and my older comp. still bogs down in close, busy situations.  Also, the Novacat model while at/near hangar still jacks me up (easily the most consistent crash cause for me).

As to money, unless the timer precludes it, I've never had any trouble asking for or giving on any server - unless its with new players.  Especially after rank-loss crash, many people will catch you up on money, if you ask/explain --- sometimes you have to ask a few times if a lot of action going on.

+1.  I'm honestly getting sick of offering money all the time, because nobody ever wants any.  If someone asks, they shall receive.

I generally ask for Cbill aid after a loss of rank...I havent had much luck this weekend.

Ive reduced soundto 64 with no luck...I even disabled my sound...still I CTD.  The Shader fix seems to do little to nothing for me, except create a delay and garbeled textures at the start of maps.

Will be fixed in the next update.

Thx for the update

Bit of a silly question, I crashed on the marshes map (as always) someone said it was due to me running ATI cards. I use a 4890 is there any truth in this ?

If so I can swap and use a GTX 260 if nvidia based cards improve the crashing for MWLL

As for asking for cash after a CTD I don’t bother anymore as I just get “GO AND EARN IT” or “GET A JOB”

If I have enough cash to give I always offer it out, have had some really good game when teams support each other

No, Marshes crashes for me also with a GTX285.  I have almost NO other crash problems, all the other maps are fine, but for some reason Marshes crashes three or four times a round almost without fail.

I agree with Perk. The Nvidea cards crash too. It is not an ATI driver issue or card issue. My son uses a HD5850 and I use a 275GTX OC. Neither of crash more or less than the other. We do not have many CTD but when we do it seems to be totally random. Sometimes Crysis just stops for no apparent reason apparently. And yes this does happen in plain old Crysis occasionally too.

Just some info:
Intel Core i5 750
8 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5700 (still using Catalyst 10.5)
Onboard Sound (Gigabyte PS5-UD4, some Realtek sound chip)
Win7 Professional 64bit

MWLL Settings:
DX10
64bit
1680x1050
Everything on high except sound quality set to low
No AA
No CCC

I've got playable FPS all the time, except for rare drops that don't seem to have any particular cause and most importantly, I haven't had a single CTD while playing 0.3.x.
The only two times Crysis crashed was when going into the menu from the game.

Maybe I'm just lucky, maybe it's got something to do with 32bit or DX9 mode, or Nvidia drivers, or something else, I don't know, but it might be worth checking out.

I guess its just 1 of them things then at least its not an ATI problem
