is it necessary to delete the "MWLL Install folder" prior to dl'ing the 3.2 patch???????  Thats what the install instructions talk of .... but then again the install instructions also refer to the 3.0 upgrade. any help would be greatly appreciated

If you upgrade from 2.x to 3.0 you have to delete those folders.

If you have 3.0 and 3.1 installed you do not need to delete the MWLL folders.
I did not have to do that when updating from 3.1 to 3.2

I had both the crysis 1.2 and 1.2.1 take ages for me to get going.
When I started the patchers it sat there saying the program was not responding for 2-3 minutes before it finally decided to go on with the patching.
Same when the patching was done and I was trying to hit the "finish/complete" button, it sat thre for ages saying it was not responding before I could finally do it.

Just thinking that maybe there are some similar issues that are causing trouble for you?

Ofc just having some patience when trying to patch crysis was all that was needed as it just to ages to respond.

This is well known problem for people with a slow PC, or slow HDD....I install them in a few seconds with my SSD, no waiting at all..... But yes patience is a virtue :D

Depends on what you define as slow.

Well on my old HDD, it would takeforever to open zip files or installation files, and a long time to install. It would alot of the time just sit there doing nothing, then 2min later it would open it. Now I think about it, maybe it needed another defrag....Either way now with my SSD, it's uncomparable. It's that much quicker.

And you could just buy a faster HDD instead of a SSD. You would be surprised how little things like that going away can make life more pleasant :D

However, if unlike me, you have patience and don't mind waiting a little while, then more power to you! I just want everything NOW lol :D

You have to explain this SSD thing to me.
I have heard it before, but not quite sure what it is other than a new type of HD.
My current computer dont support it though, that much I know.
And why get a faster HDD when I plan on bluilding a completely new rig anyway, may just as well wait for that.

I too want everything now my problem is money, I simply cant afford everything now.
Thats why I have to take things in steps.

Have to get me one of those at some point, but right now they are rather expensive.
Gonna have to save up some cash for it.

That's why I suggested getting a really fast HDD, they are alot cheaper, and far better than average HDD, but not as good as SSD. As they say, you get what you pay for ^^

And yes I would buy it with a new rig (Eventually). Just save up! There is no rush :D

You say very fast HDD, how fast is that?

As for saving up, I got a different way of doing it that works just as well.
Instead of saving, I buy the parts one or two at a time depending on what I can afford, then put it all together when I got everything.

Well they are normally 10k RPM HDD with fat load of cache. Not going to be as fast as a SSD, but they will be alot quicker than a normal HDD. How much faster? No idea lol, I haven't looked up fast HDD in a long while, sure someone here knows some good fast HDD.

Assuming you have something really cheap, it should be at least twice as fast as a good guess.

Oh, one more thing, SSD and fast HDD, are in general small in size, around 100gb area (Some HDD ones are around 200gb but they get pricey). There are bigger SSD but cost way too much.

If your going to get a new rig, I would just buy a nice large HDD, for storage, 1TB+ and then eventually when you got the cash, buy a SSD, and use that for your OS and main programs that you use.

Allready got my eyes set on a 2TB HDD for my new rig.
Gonna look into that SSD for OS and such an addition.
Could just get a small one to begin with then upgrade later

You don't need a large SSD. I only have 120gb, and thats probably overkill, for me anyway.

Just a 120 GB SSD disc will cost me over 460 Euro or 600 USD
That equals almost half my monthly income.
But can hve the SSD for OS and some of the important programs like Anitvirus and firewall and such.
Then I can use the 2 TB HDD for other things, at least until the SSDs become cheaper and larger. :P
