Another possible fix for "Modified files" error
« on: July 16, 2010, 11:31:18 PM »
So after reinstalling the mod again and again, I compared my mod folder to someone else's, and the only difference was the thumbs.db file Windows had made for MWLL_splashscreen.jpg.

I deleted crysis\mods\mwll\thumbs.db, and the game worked again.
I don't know why I had it set to make thumbnails, but that made the difference.

While this is easy enough to fix, where exactly is that .jpg used? I don't remember seeing it. Maybe it doesn't need to be there?

I'm looking thru the folder you specified for its location and even the rest of them, but im just not finding this "thumbs.db" file you mentioned to delete, though i do see the "MWLL_splashscreen.jpg" file in the folder, deleting -that- didn't work though..

(edit #1)

Just realized that someone made mention of needing to download an run patch 3.1 -then- 3.2 in order which I didn't have, will see if that works.

(edit #2)

Yep, that was my own fault, I had skipped downloading 3.1 patch an simply installed 3.2 thinking that would work. Getting both an running them in order got it working first try.
