Niiiice! I was hoping you'd add those wires back to the legs, and I'm glad to see you did. ;D

That is a really excellent paint job. You do the source material justice, good sir.

Thanks Mate,
Yeah the wires on the back are essential to the look of this one.
It looks great added to my collection

Looking good, is there any canon unit that she belongs to? Or is that camo just an interpretation of the Decidion at Thunder Rift Locust (and was that Oberon Confederation camo anyways?  IIRC it was a Drac 'mech painted up to look like be an Oberon raider).

Yeah the colours and basic pattern are modeled on the DATR cover art, I think its likely that the scheme can be tied to the oberon confed, since the plot was to have the mechs look like they were from there.

Quote
Mercenary forces from the Oberon Confederation, including Sigurd native Lori Kalmar, carried out the dishonourable sneak attack that destroyed Carlyle's Commandos on Trellwan in 3024. In this action, the Oberon mercenaries pretended to have been hired by the Lyran Commonwealth but actually acted on orders from Duke Hassid Ricol, the infamous Red Duke from the Draconis Combine, and attacked their Lyran employers upon arriving to ostensibly reinforce the garrison.

I whipped it up to celebrate my new handle, since the Zeus was Fochts mech.

So i'm glad to have it in the collection, its not my best work to be sure, there was little in the way of resources to model it from, and the ComStar livery is a bit stark

*SNIP*....and the ComStar livery is a bit stark
And impossible to get the stains out of   :P

Best work or not, I'd still rather have that Zeus than no Zeus.

@Kit I never thought of that!

Dunno why but the original CBT design always gives me an image of a hippy sitting with an XL-blunt at the drawing table now why am I seeing that when I look at this topic

Originally it was a japanese anime design

Quote
The mech is called the Locust, and and was one of the designs used by FASA in the first addition of the tabletop combat game. The origin of this design was a Japanese anime titled "Crusher Joe". In that anime, the mech was actually a robot called an "Ostall" and was not as "beefy" as the designers at FASA recreated it.
