What: Solaris Arena bracket competition. Weight classes and specialist class. Score and kills are combined to determine placement after the battle. Open to all pilots. Voice comms optional.

Why: Fun. Also want to find the best gladiators in MWLL.
Spots: Between 15-60. Advanced sign upt not requited.

Matches should take about 10-20 minutes per weight class. Matches will move from weight class to weight class on the same map without resetting. Overall match will last 45-60 minutes. Looking for feedback on match length. Combat will be seamless with no breaks until map is over.

WIll there be specialist classes? Flying?
Yes. Flying on a separate map in a single round. At least one "specialist" 20 minute fight with either tanks, battle armor, artillery etc. Time may restrict us to one flying and one specialist battle. Not sure if either will be part of main bracket.

Hit me up with some feedback. Chaos March tested the bulk of the format last month. But looking for tweaks, comments, concerns before this thing starts.

The event has been moved to the19th Friday. A second edition may take place Saturday the 28th.

          Start time 2: 0:00 UTC

          Server will be set with map rotation for each weight class. Server administrator will announce the weight class for the map. Pilots will use the home button to enable the give cbills command to afford assets. Scores will be recorded via screenshot at map end. Scores will be posted on the forum at conclusion of the event. Players may enter the game in progress. Debating a password to prevent confusion to players. The password will be 123 if one is used. Specialist class will take place near the end of the play sessions.

          Typical matches will have a twenty minute time limit. But some matches will be 60 minutes in length. The match will use all four weight classes descending from assault to heavy to medium to light. The administrator will announce the end of the previous class. The time will be announced when all future purchases must change class. All pilots must use heavies beginning with spawns past 45 minutes on the timer. Any pilot left in an assault may stay in that asset until it dies. That pilot must begin using heavy class from then onward until the next weight change.

            6 days later

            The Championships are almost here! Please spread the word - everybody play Solaris Arena all day long on Friday 19 January! The servers called "Arena Championship" will be weight class restricted. So the "leader" will tell everyone use light medium heavy assault. Other than that play just like normal. Help out-take screenshots at the end of any solaris arena battle Friday and upload them here! Note if it was weight restricted or not.

            Want to hangout on voice comms? Sure you can drop by the discords or teamspeak at mwll.mekmaster.com but that is optional! Just play some solaris arena this friday!

            Want to be the champion? Be sure to play in the servers called "Arena Championship". The score will add up in the weight classes over time.

            Specialty classes? Yes, but towards the end of each play session. Ground based stuff should be easy to organize. Flying- well we'll try at least!

            If all this goes well and is fun we'll come back Saturday 28 and do it again... with a bracket! So, anyhow come play Solaris Areana - and try to be a champion if you dare - but let the fun begin!

            19:00 UTC start for Europe. 1 hour break at the end. Then it starts up for North America at 07:00 Central (0:00 UTC). Players are welcome to play in both time slots if they desire.

            A mix of 20 minute weight class specific maps with the occasional 60 minute map with assault for 15 minutes then down each weight class every 15 minutes.

            IF there is a need for a password it will be 123. Take care and see everyone tomorrow!

                    Round 2 Today! Look for the servers "arena championships" and start playing! Duncan Fisher is on standby!

                      Ok details.... 8pm EST tonight on "chaos march huntress" server... like 10 minutes from time of this post. Then, Sunday about 17:00 UTC on some server for the Europe round. Will set a final third round of event some Saturday in February. Join server and play!
