RAVEN The Mod is called Living Legends because its centered around bringing in all the things from the MechWarrior games and I do like that very much so why would someone decide to leave the one thing that gives the player freedom of choice that has been there in past MechWarrior games that is my issue.
We also don't have a mechlab, which also was in all previous MechWarrior games and was arguably the mechanic containing the most freedom of choice for players.
Does that make MWLL a bad MechWarrior game?
Sometimes removing mechanics can be beneficial to the design of a game.
Could you further explain what you like about third person camera?
If it's about seeing you mech from the outside, while I would agree that that's cool but I would be with the others that it has no place in mwll at this point. If we ever have a single player I would be fine with it there but not for the multiplayer.
A third person camera is usually placed behind and above the character. Even if it's implemented in a way that doesn't allow to peak over hills or around corners or shooting without exposing the cockpit, there is also the fact that you see your back which can tell you if, from which weapon and what angle you're getting shot at. If you want to prevent that as well we are at a point where the camera wouldn't be allowed to render anything that you can't see from your cockpit.
That would be a lot of work for not much gain if we could even do it.
