I'd just like to say that TLL members will not be able to put the tag in our names because of our servers have stuff built in to verify our tags. Prevents people from misrepresenting us ;)

I'll add a tag myself since I'm an unaffiliated player (so far), I kinda feel that the (TLL) tag lends a bit of authority within the game itself, much like the (WD) and ~SJ~, so noobs can tell the veterans even if there is no reference to SRMC.  Heck, I know it's usually a unit player that I go to when I have stupid in game questions. :)

I am available at all hours most of the week though my schedule goes wacky places...

I would consider myself good at this game, but I've never been able to teach people, even in games I was absolute god at....

But I guess if there was a curriculum I could just follow that and see how it goes.

I wouldn't mind stopping by and seeing how the session goes either.

I'm a -6GMT US Central time

I"d love to help with training some new recruits. GMT -5 here.

In addition to BattleMech training, I can also help out with showing the basics of ASF, BA, Tanks, and Hovercraft.

In game name is (TLL)Sean Ward and I am +1 GMT

I would love to help but I have exams the comming weeks so after that I am all for it. +1 karma for the initiative!

I am an average all around ground pounder and specialize in NARCing.

Also I have FRAPS and could record some footage if a video would be made. I think that that might help some noobs that either do not know of the trainings or can not make them.

Thanks everyone.  I'll add the new volunteers to the trainer pool (don't worry, you won't get asked to train anything you can't fit in your schedule) and I am really happy to see the momentum this and similar projects have achieved.  Hopefully getting through the first class or two will help us decide if this is the right path for the community, so far it seems promising.

There's been a huge influx of new Australian players, and 3FL and other Aussie Servers are well populated, so I'm advertising our existance to new people whilst playing. Not enough players really check the forums or have ever checked the forums since they have started playing.

Hey Cowboy,
It would be good to have a quick way for new players to see who can teach them stuff. Maybe even PMs to the trainers when you click the names. I am not sure how to do that or if it is possible. I think that this should be in the first post in the other thread and should be kept up to date. Also that thread should link here for the curriculum.
If I got anything wrong then please feel free to post the needed update.

Great idea, Warhammer.  I'll see about getting something written up and posted, with hyperlinks to contact each trainer if possible.
