well the thing is I don't even know what I suck at (besides dodging FBombs in anything slower than an Uller) but apparently I do
There are certain times I do far worse than usual (against NCats, Scats in a slow asset, in an Osiris, in a Mauler or Atlas) but besides that I think I'm an average-good player and usually stay out of those assets anyway

If I'm lucky the guy who said I suck might even train me, but we're not exactly in talking terms right now :-X
not really a big deal, I just play to have fun but being a drag on your team ain't cool

Currently nothing besides the basic course contents is set in stone, so i'd say either just contact the trainer that you think is a good fit or post in the SRMC threads what you are looking for.

Well  that's the best kind of player in my opinion.  ;)

I have some free time tomorrow, so send me a PM with when you'll be around, if you'd like to talk and go over some things.

Now that I actually went to the class, I have to admit that I'm not as bad as I though I was. It's just that my vid card can't keep up anymore (was chopping severely even on 2 vs 1)

considering all "real" games usually consist of more than 3 people though, I guess I'll just avoid playing for the most part until I upgrade :'(

Hi!
I would like to get some training. I'm new to this mod and I got into some basics but my main problem is to hit with missiles.
A trainer who can speak german would be awesome as I'm from Bavaria.
I have mumble installed but the ingame speech-software should also work.
I'm looking forward to hear from someone interested ;)

Cthulhu (Awsome name BTW)

I can't say that I can train you, but if you really want training, I suggest sending a Private Message (PM) To someone in or near your timezone.

http://forum.mechlivinglegends.net/index.php/topic,11348.0.html

The first post has a list of people who are trainers, and what their timezone is. I would PM them and see who can hook you up to a training session. I believe they'd be more than happy to schedule a time to train you.

Welcome and Good Luck!  ;D

please contact, through PM, one of our german speaking trainers. Keep at it!  It's totally worth the effort :D

Hi Cthulhu,
Great to see you here.
I am GMT +1 but do not speak German.
~SJ~ Atlessa, dCK-Ad_Hominem and 7.[WD]Cygma speak German so you can PM them (or me) to arrange a time.
Voice is very important to the training and you will learn much more if that goes smoothly. The ingame voice is horrible so do not use that. The program that most people use is teamspeak (which is really easy to set up) but skype (and I think MSN) also works well. I do not have mumble but maybe some of the German trainers do.

[edit]: spelling  ;D

Did you what?

You know better than to fabricate quotes of honest mechwarriors. Now all I need is a smiley with 2 pairs of sunglasses  ;D

Wow so many replies in such a short time  :o
Thanks @ all!
I will pm someone next week, when I have time.
@ Ghost Bear: Thanks! The name takes some lovecraftian flavour into the board, as I'm addicted to his stories ;)
Hoped to handle the training without teamspeak, cause I like mumble better, but when all use it I must go with it.

talk to your trainer because TLL use teamspeak but SJ use ventrilo so it differs.

Yeah these guys are great :D Tell your friends! Getting some training surely helps to get to know the game faster (and better) than just trying it out alone :)

Has been done allready. But they play some weird game "Heroes of Newerth" at the moment...

Had a training lesson today with 7.[WD]Cygma, big thanks for this!
There where many things that he teached me about, like how to fight in BA, usage of Radar systems, missile's, NARC's and last but not least the right usage of aerospace.

So, see you all at the battlefield ;)
