Ya, that mimicked league play, which I have not participated in since Zone mechwarrior days. Amazing, thrilling, fun. Will be excited to see the vid's posted!!

I will say from a success perspective, it works out well one at least one unit is committed to hosting a night and the word gets out.  The nights leading up to the even were pretty small (at least the ones i've been in) and for the most part the #MWLLscrim channel is pretty quite.

I think with other units moving to one teamspeak 3 server will help facilitate matches being setup routinely. Any luck on uploading the Frostbite/Mirage matches?

This is the most fun I've had in a while, I'll talk to some of the other CJW guys about this, I'm not sure if you'll have them on board, but I'll be sure to return.

PS Thanks Eaglefire, I don't really check the forums much anymore, I would've never known this was going on if it wasn't for the IRC

This was excellent but in the future... one suggestion

Settle on a rule set (cash limit, time limit, respawns) and stick to it every week. (consistency will help everyone) Then make sure people have enough spawn cash to buy whatever in the event of spontaneous "Everyone take a mauler" or "Flying beatsticks only" fun matches. This will cut down on the time wasted constantly restarting the map, and will prevent restarts because people bought the wrong asset. Anything beyond that can be verbally agreed upon prior to the match starting.

Not been able to participate on this yet, but even so I can vouch for this being a good idea. Lists can be verified by spectators or after the battle if anyone feels that the other side was over budget. Saves a lot of headache to have a hefty surplus and just count on people being able to use a calculator (Either a normal one or the a dropcalculator).

/Merf - Is not very good at waiting around.

@Phelan yep matches are up, just look under the WiE play list on the 12thVR channel.

On the pick up match setup, what's missing is "planning and negociation" between rounds.  Pretty sure the server was still set to like 100k cbill spawn that was left over from the 12thVR/WiE match before hand.

That's what I mean tho, instead of mucking about with server settings every match, just verbally agree to spend X amount, or to buy only Y tech if that is the type of match you want.

Yup and cbill amounts were set with map changes.
