I am currently not in the mood to update the spreadsheets, especially since it looks like there is some alternative and interest in the version here is kind of low, even for MWLL-standards. Maybe somebody wants to hijack this thread/project, I would be fine with it. Instructions on how to update the spreadsheets are contained in the package at the end of the first post.

081 isn't as much of a revitalizing hit as 080 was (we didn't get a Kotaku article this time), but things seem more stable now and with access to custom maps again the game it a lot more fun (despite the new PPC bug). The devs are more excited than ever and are plugging along. Whenever I want to talk about variants and c-bill costs I find the drop calc to be invaluable. I typically use it about 5 or 6 times per week. And, even if 081 is short lived and 082 comes out quickly, having lots of iterations of the drop calc is very helpful. Especially when someone is convinced that there was some specific variant that they loved and then I use the calc to prove that it probably never existed ;)

If you want to stop, I'll be sad, but it's your choice.

I don't expect a patch for a few months, we could really use a drop calculator. We also have more players than ever before. Mind updating the drop calc?

No, his offline drop calc isn't sorted very well and takes a really long time to load up, it's an enormous file compared to yours. Yours is nice because I can select different tabs for different kinds of assets. I mostly use the drop calc for reference, not for actual drop lists. However, I use it all the time, like not daily, but almost. His takes 11 seconds to start up yours only takes 6 seconds. theClaw, the way you've organized your drop calc is far more aesthetically pleasing and useful to me.

I hate browsing through the xml with notepad to find the mechs I want to look up. I honestly prefer it over star's since it doesn't take so long to load and is organized better... well not actually, but I can find what I'm looking for easier.

Here's my updated data for 0.8.3!

Warlord Kentax, and whoever else is/was still using this calculator:

I still am and will be updating my script and its data, mainly because it's less effort to do so than to release my awful code and try to explain how it is supposed to work.
Nevertheless, I don't intend to take on the new responsibility of updating the calculator for a game I don't play any more. As much as it pains me to check the thread several months after my last post and see people felt let down all this time...

Someone still active has to step up and maintain the spreadsheet. IIRC, Snyp3r documented extensively the process to update the calculator, it shouldn't be too hard to pick up. If not, I'm sure thEClaw would be happy to assist the learning process.

The 0.8.0 to 0.8.1 update should have been very easy (no asset changes for 0.8.2), but 0.8.3 introduces some novelties. The Ammo category has been split into Ballistics, Bombs and Missiles. This probably requires updating some formulas, or one could do a few 'search & replace' directly in the CSVs (my txt files). Two new assets have been added, this might also require an intervention.

I'll keep an eye on this thread for a few days; after that, you can find me on IRC.
