Leggat served as first mate aboard the Sephora, in a short story by Joseph Conrad. The Sephora was foundering in high seas, and a crewman tasked along with Leggat in rigging an emergency sail froze panicked and began arguing.
The remaining sails were nearly lost, and with no speed they'd be at the mercy of the waves. Leggat decked him, and went about reefing the foresail. The man attacked, and as they struggled a wave crushed the ship. When they surfaced against the rails, Leggat's hands were around a dead man's neck.
Saved the ship, and crew, and was promptly thrown in the brig for his troubles. Story goes on to detail his escape, and essentially to frame the context of his split second decisions, and their ultimate ramifications. I find that the persona informs my view on team-killing, heh.
If you ever happen to encounter any of Conrad's other characters, that's just me playing when there aren't enough CC'ers on.
I'm no tk'er, never needed or wanted to be. I have, though, relieved KBucy of his head via BA heavy laser, while he was mech shopping/spamming insults, months ago. Just the one time, it felt both great, then dirty.
