You have to understand the code of duty and honor that rules those who pilot these engines of destruction. Placing such an awesome weapon in the hands of an individual implies a similar gesture of trust

Yeah its a nice kit, it got a lot of parts. It was worth it for the box art itself.

Warhammer and crusader mechs by the looks, i will likely build the warhammer first for an instant hit of mech fun.
Then take my time with the rest.
Sadly they are not in scale with my larger mech collection, and will have to be a stand alone display.

I wanted one of these 30 years ago when they first came out. Its great to finally get one

Oh that is nice. How tall is that mech? I'm guessing about 15cm? Also do thse platforms actually rotate?

I'll measure it soon and edit this post with its actual size, its 1/100 scale and the darker ones do rotate

My larger mech collection is 1/72 scale so they are slightly smaller than the ones i usually post.

I'll grab a tape measure soon and get you the exact size

Edit: so to the top of the tallest point (missile pod) its about 13 cm, just over 5 inch's for the pre decimal fossils like myself

Well ive started construction on the second mech, its a neckbeards nightmare  :P

Its a armoured valkyrie VF-1J

Which is not a Crusader per se, the crusader was a VF-1A, although in some artwork such as in The Fourth Succession War Scenarios, the Crusader is depicted with a modified VF-1J head.

That aside there are also scale issues, even if i were to pretend it was a crusader, this model bulks larger than the warhammer, which is not canon since the warhammer has 5 tons on the crusader.

I'm sure its the sort of thing that would only bother us purists, and it will look great anyway, maybe i could reconcile it by pretending its a Crusader II lol

(Nostalgic fluff: back in the day of lead figures one of my friends, had a Crusader in white livery, with custom Crusader rabbit decals  ;D)

Second one done, base coat starting on warhammer, i think i might just buy a 1/100 riffleman to replace the "Crusader"

That warhammer is a thing of beauty.

I also like that in the background on the ebay page is another warhammer.

Did I mention I like warhammers?

A great omen, methinks since my factory set will now have an Archer and Warhammer.

^The top one is a bit cartoony. A Mechlab should look like a factory, so go with the bottom one!

I rather like the top one, the bottom one is very boring, unless you plan to do something exciting with the mechs. Also if you buy an Archer and it's not blue/gold, there will be blood :)
