sys_physics_CPU = 3
That value makes no sense at all.
This cvar Specifies the physical CPU index physics will run on. (Server sets to 1)
You will see no improvements at all by changing this cvar. Set it to 1 in any case and just leave it

Plus, you could run into problems by using this value on CPUs with less than 4 logical cores

but :-\ mine has exactly 4 physical cores?

No, I did read that, but my point was that value doesn't need a change.
Actually, even putting it into an autoexec doesn't make sense, since the default value for that cvar is already 1, and should be that on any kind of hardware.

What they say is not wrong. I think you misunderstood them:
That cvar just specifies the index of the core which should be assigned for physics processing, not the number of the assigned cores.

Physics is just a single thread, and can only be assigned to a single core. If you set that variable to core X, the physics thread will be run on core X. Easy.

If you have a quad-core CPU, setting this value to 3 will not assign multiple cores to the physics thread, but will just assign that thread to the core number 3. And that will make no difference, since the OS already automatically balances the load between cores.

If you just not set it, the thread with be run on core number 1.

See CryEngine official documentation for more information, not a forum post (even if that's the official CryDev forum)

Just wanted to clarify things :P

People like You make this world a tired place buddy  :(

You state that it does not make sense to put the cvar:
sys_physics_CPU =
to value 3 on a quad core PC (to put physics on #3 the fourth core)
and that it's default value is 1 -meaning it will run on second core (index 1 = #1 = second core)

That it does not have any merit beyond #1
Yet the Cuban-Ultima-Doom-Assassin47-Taowolf-Sword's Custom Crysis Configs say the cores are indexed 0-3 for a quad processor

And Defender (a MW:LL developer) states that MW:LL uses two cores (index 0 and 1) which is true based on the default game auto-config
Which has clearly been shown to be surpassed by the CCC generated configurations all want to use, and rightly so.

Yet again You clam the engine can't be tweaked to use cores beyond #1 (the second)
Whereby an reputable group of people over at the CryDev forum (lot more knowledgeable developer eyes checking each post than here) reportedly puts the physics thread on arbitrary core to unburden the two cores cry engine uses

All false assumptions (at best half wrong) yet still you insist to come clean of sorry my bad?
 ???
And clearly pollute a thread that comes clean, shares freely and keeps thing open to all?
For what merit? :-\

i will pursue Your ego no further
 :-X

Tired, maybe, but also less ignorant. I prefer a tired and boring world rather than an ignorant one.

You state that it does not make sense to put the cvar:

and that it's default value is 1 -meaning it will run on second core (index 1 = #1 = second core)
No, you misunderstood. I said that it doesn't make sense to put any value at all.
Everyone knows that the CPU index starts from 0 and not from 1. But, again, that doesn't matter, cause the OS already automatically balances the load between cores.

And Defender (a MW:LL developer) states that MW:LL uses two cores (index 0 and 1) which is true based on the default game auto-config
No, that statement is not complet. He also said that CryEngine2 uses 2 cores, but also a third one for physics thread. So, it can actually use 3 cores.

Yet again You clam the engine can't be tweaked to use cores beyond #1 (the second)
I never said that, man. It's all automatic...the load is already automatically balanced by the OS.

Whereby an reputable group of people over at the CryDev forum (lot more knowledgeable developer eyes checking each post than here) reportedly puts the physics thread on arbitrary core to unburden the two cores cry engine uses
Where? I didn't read anything about this.

Anyway, whatever, man...I was just trying to be constructive here.

Learn colloquialisms you fucking fruit basket.

And for the record the minutia of my lexicon is both mammoth in scale, not to mention vulgar on a scope most people find unsettling. So if I choose a word (that is in my native language at any rate) you can be resolute it is real. It's cultural niche may not be obvious, but i'll be there. I'm a depositary of bilge and surplus knowledge.

Stop stop it you big mean poo canoe.

Anyone volunteer to do a human speech for this material?
I cold (i guess) make the original key maps and we (the volunteer (if any) and my self) could make that too?

Nice video/material. The key maps are awesome and we needed an updated key map, perhaps in PDF format too. I can see the use for the new players to learn the default keys for actions.

And no, can't help you with the voice part. My mic is crap and I'm not a native English speaker. :P
Tools and I:
   - MWLL Online Launcher (LAN UDP Forwarder) - evolution of past "Le Proof of Concepto" project: connect without Gamespy via packet redirection;
   - Vehicle Browser - "Pocket Wiki" Šokaolias (not really that though);
   - Rconnect 4.3 - Server tools: map manager/player voting add-ons;
   - CryHammer - Validates Patch/CDKey of Crysis Wars (now unable to validate CDKey due to turned off Gamespy servers).
