On the template, they need a place to state what leagues they play in as well.

Since we're kinda on that subject any how, the leagues will probably need a similar setup.

haha good point :D

yep :) agreed.

ok, so unless someone can give any more input - I'll try to write up the rules on wiki.

BTW: What about the category name? [[Category:Units and Clans]] is fine? I have a feeling like it's not the best one... ::) although only "units" might be confusing a bit.

I would call it [[Category: Player Clans and Guilds]]  or something like that to let people know that these are player gaming clans and not BT in universe clans.

Player Clans and Units?
AFAIK none of the current calls itself "guild", while unit is more.... military-style I think ;)

And the new template is ready!

As for the category - it can still be changed, so if someone have objections to current name - feel free to post (sooner the better)

As for the clans - people, wiki awaits for you! :)

Hello,
I have a template filled out, signed up with the Wiki but for the life of me I can not figure out how to "Add" a page to the Clans and Units Category?
http://wiki.mechlivinglegends.net/index.php?title=Category:Community_Clans_and_Units

Thanks

They are added automatically to the category page if you create a unit page using the template.

You can create new pages e.g. by directly entering the URL like:
Code: [Select]
http://wiki.mechlivinglegends.net/index.php?title=MyUberUnitThe MyUberUnit part is the page name.

Or you could use the search box - if there isn't a page with the name you entered it will show you:
Quote
Create the page "MyUberUnit" on this wiki!

Once you have the edit page open, paste the template stuff in, fill it out, press "preview" to see the results. Once you're happy with it press "save".

Worst case scenario: If you are not getting it to work yourself, send me the template data and text and i'll put it in.
